"Alright, that should do!" Ellie said as she wound up the bandage around Lucas's hand, keeping it held tight. Lucas looked at the slightly blood-stained bandage, moving it around a small bit. It pinched a little, but with the bandage, it didn't feel too bad. At least it wasn't leaking blood. He turned, rubbing the bandage a little and smiling,
"Thanks."
"So, what caused that bite?", Ellie inquired as she closed the first aid kit and stuffed it into her duffel bag. Lucas thought for a moment, then gently pet Torchic,
"A Torchic, actually. Well, I thought it was, but then it transformed into some dark fox thing, it was weird. I think its name was Zorua."
"Oh yeah, I've heard this one before. They're said to be tricksters, but timid too."
"Yeah, that just about checks out. I think I was too harsh on it, it looked scared and I just attacked it.", Lucas pouted as he thought back on it, and Torchic jumped onto his lap, reading his face and nuzzling into his chest. A small smile slipped from Lucas' face as he rubbed its fur gently,
"Well, it also attacked you, so don't feel too bad.", Ellie said, jumping up from the floor, "You'll probably not see it again, so best not dwell on it.
"Right, well, should we get to Oldale?"
"Sounds good to m-"
A sudden quaking ran through the ground. Ellie quickly lost balance, and Mudkip had to sidestep to avoid being crushed. Lucas caught her as she fell, quickly helping her back to her feet, as Lucas almost toppled as he finally got to his feet.
"What on Earth was that?", Lucas asked, as Torchic shuddered, still feeling the vibrations of the rumbling through the ground. The land they were under was still solid, so nothing too bad could've happened. But, whatever happened elsewhere, they had to investigate it. Pokemon, in health or hurt, had to be at the centre of it.
"I don't know. There should be nothing on this route that can make something like that.", Ellie commented, having studied the ecosystem of the route beforehand, being mostly unassuming bugs and a couple birds. Nothing that could make an Earthquake rock the route. Lucas walked to the exit of the tent, looked around at the surrounding area, and couldn't see anything in particular. Rumbling could still be heard through the floor. The rumbling could still be heard very faintly through the floor. Lucas' heart pounded, something wasn't right. He took a step forward, but Ellie's hand reached out, stopping him,
"I'd be careful rushing into something like this. We don't know if its above our level."
"But, what if someone got attacked by a Pokemon and needs our help? What if someone is injured or hurt?" Lucas said, and Ellie took a second to consider the possibilities. She looked at Lucas, and his face was as determined as ever. "I've gotta make sure. I can't sit back and let someone else, Pokemon or person, get hurt."
"Then, I guess I'll be going with you.", Ellie said, winding her duffel bag over her shoulder, as Mudkip ran up to her side, looking up to its trainer. "We'll try and stick close, ok?"
"Of course, it's better if we stick together.", Lucas said with a smile, then looked into the clearing in the forest. He trailed the footsteps of Zorua as the two headed into the forest, with the shine of day lighting their way...

A quick dodge to the left, as another net catapulted overhead. It must've been the fourth one that Zorua had been forced to dodge. And, it was exhausted. A poison needle swiped at Zorua's ear, cutting into its fur and tainting it in poison. It hadn't quite hit the skin, but another good strike and it would certainly. Just more of an excuse to keep on running.
