The automatic doors of the Pokemon Center slid open as Nurse Joy stepped into the Pokemon Center, ready to take over the day shift. She found the other Nurse Joy in the back, taking a well-deserved rest after the hustle and bustle of the night shift. The day-shift Nurse Joy tapped their shoulder and alerted them that their shift was over. They got up, packed their things into their small bag, and wished them good luck on their shift as they left the Pokemon Center.

The daytime Nurse Joy opened the employee only locker, stuffing their small bag full of spare medical supplies, and took her place behind the reception desk. She checked her watch as she stood idly, and waited for the inevitable first customer. And, it seemed that the first would be a guest of the Pokemon Center, evident through the banging of footsteps above the reception floor. She then spotted Lucas dashing down the stairs, almost falling over at the foot of the stairwell.

"You're in a rush." Nurse Joy commented as Lucas ran up to the desk, and said,

"Yeah, sorry. I was just wondering if my Pokemon were ok. There should be a Torchic and a Zorua."

The Nurse Joy nodded and escaped into the room full of healed Pokemon, searching through the assorted trays and found two Pokeballs labelled with the exact Pokemon he had stated. Nurse Joy picked up the Pokeballs and handed them to Lucas, who quickly opened up the Zorua Pokeball. And, to Lucas's immense relief, Zorua escaped from its Pokeball and energetically wagged his tail.

Lucas had been concerned over Zorua's safety as soon as he found that Zorua was completely gone from his bedroom. So, it was soothing to see that he not only was safe, but Zorua was also well-rested. He opened up Torchic's Pokeball as well, and his partner Pokemon appeared. Lucas was delighted to see that Torchic's chemical burns had fully recovered, and it was like he was never even stricken with poison in the first place. The only mark was just a small patch on its foot. But, Lucas was massively happy with Torchic's recovery and said to Nurse Joy,

"Thank you!"

"No problem! Have a good day!" Nurse Joy said with a bright smile. Lucas smiled back and heard the sound of footsteps of Ellie coming down the staircase from behind him. Mudkip was proudly walking aside her as she walked down the stairwell, approaching Lucas once at the bottom of the stairwell.

"So, what are we doing today?" Lucas asked as Ellie pulled out her phone.

"The police want to do some quick questioning about the thieves attacks on Route 101. And, after that, we can just go up to Route 102."

"When do they want us in for questioning?"

Ellie once again scanned her phone for the message, and her eyes widened as she read it.

"It's...right now."

"Then, we'll have to get there quickly!", Lucas said as he dashed out of the Pokemon Centre, Zorua running beside him and Torchic poised on his shoulder.

"So, did you get any good info?"

Lucas stepped out of the interrogation room and was talking to Ellie and the police officer who was taking notes during the questioning. The man scanned through the questions again and said,

"Well, we at least got some useful information about the drill and the thief that stole the pack of Zorua. We'll try and get an investigation going, and we'll contact you if we need your assistance with anything. And, call us as well if you need help with this 'group'."

"So, does that mean we're free to go?" Ellie asked, quite eager to move forwards in their journey, and the police officer gave a confident nod. Lucas smiled, gave a quick wave, and the duo walked out of the blue and white police centre. Lucas stretched his arms and said aloud,

"Thank Arceus that's over! Anyways, I need to get a couple quick things from the Pokemart, and then we can head up Route 102."

"Alright, but after you're finished your shopping trip, I want to show you something related to Route 102." Ellie said in a quite vague tone. But, before Lucas could ask any more questions, Ellie had already started walking to the small Pokemart that stood next to the police centre. Lucas followed closely behind, and they both approached the automatic doors, which smoothly slid open as they walked towards it.

Lucas stepped through and looked at the signs hanging from the ceiling, trying to find and complete his shopping as quickly as possible. He dashed to the aisle full of berries and found many berries lined up in rows, some coming from countries even foreign to Hoenn. He knelt down before Zorua and asked the Pokemon,

"You probably haven't eaten for a while, so what berries would you like?"

Zorua looked up at the wide array of berries that were on display. But, one stood out among the crowd. It used to collect Mago Berries when he was on Route 101 and bring them back to its family for them to eat. He enjoyed the sweet flavour they brought, and immediately selected them as his choice. Lucas smiled and said,

"Well, that was quick. So, Torchic, are you okay with getting Mago Berries?"

Torchic frantically nodded, having been fed them during its small time with Professor Birch and grown very accustomed to the taste.

"Well, that's settled then.", he said, picking up a large pack of berries and putting them inside of his backpack. He also bought a small pack of Sitrus Berries for himself and stashed them in his backpack as well. He approached the till throwing the berries onto the till and paying for all of them.

"That will be 900 Pokedollars."

Lucas handed the cashier a note for 1000 Pokedollars, receiving 100 Pokedollars back and the berries. He walked away from the till and found Ellie just casually sitting by the doors, waiting for Lucas with a smile.

"So, can you show me the thing related to Route 102?"

She nodded and flicked open her phone, scrolling through and then projecting an image so that both Ellie and Lucas could clearly see it.

The image was a little blurry in resolution, clearly having been taken in a rush, but one thing stood out in the image. Amongst the vibrant blues and greens of Route 102, there was a small white body standing atop a rock with a green semi-circle like head and red spikes sticking out. It made it quite easy to spot and Lucas asked,

"So, is that a Pokemon?"

"Yeah, it's actually called a Ralts. The person who made the post said they tried to capture it, but failed."

The projector suddenly shut down as the phone went into standby mode, and Ellie smiled,

"So I'm going to catch it myself!"
