Ellie was scribbling. Even deep into the hours of the night. She was supposed to be asleep. She should've been asleep two hours ago. She had told herself that she would go to sleep early. Yet, here she sat on her bed, hunched over her notebook, scribbling. She kept making notes, writing down her rushing thoughts as they came to her, doodling in the bottom corner whatever had popped into her head at the time. Mostly various Pokemon from memory, or the people she encountered on her adventure (with one young boy taking up a majority of those doodles). But, through the madness of her thoughts, scribbles and doodles, she conceptualized a plan of action against Winona. To beat her once and for all. Everything she watched, and everything that she had learnt, it all went into here. Now, all she needed to do was execute on that plan. Simple, right? Ellie didn't really think so.
She let out a yawn, collapsing onto her bed, the notebook falling onto the floor as she let her body flop to the bed. Her eyes sagged, the only thing keeping them from shutting being the faint glow of the desk side lamp nearby. She looked at the ticking clock. She could barely keep her eyes open enough to look at the clock, and her brain was too foggy to even read it. Whatever time it was, anyways, it was too late. She desperately needed rest. She flickered off her lamp, and in only a moment, she found herself at rest, dreaming of the day to come after.
The early morning of the day finally arose, light peeking in through the shuttered window. The sun's glow finally shot into Ellie's eyes, calling her from her slumber into reality. She yawned as she got up, rubbing her eyes and stretching. Slinking off her bed, she quickly got ready for the day, then threw the blinds open. She picked up the fallen notebook, dropped it onto the bed, then grabbed her duffel bag and dropped that onto the bed too. She looked at the notebook one last time, checking the plan of action once again. She nodded, bringing out three Pokeballs. She threw them into the air, falling to the ground and revealing the team she was using for the battle. Electrike, Kirlia and Marshtomp. She looked to all three of them, clapping her hands and saying,
"Ok everyone, here's the plan!"

Ellie burst from the Pokémon Centre, accompanied only by Marshtomp, standing to her side. She'd gotten up in the early morning, so there were little people about. Seijo, Lucas and Harry were all asleep too. She needn't wake them up in the early hours of the morning for a fight that wasn't theirs. All that mattered was her, and the battle in front of her. She ascended up the Fortree Gym, riding the current, still a little shaky in her heart but ultimately secure in her ascent. She stepped out onto the gym floor, finding Winona already in front of her, a Pokeball held out. She smiled,
"The final one of the trio! Let's hope we've saved the best for last!"
"The others are strong, but, me and my Pokémon plan on giving it out all!", Ellie responded with a smirk, hiding the nervousness she felt in her heart. Winona nodded, holding the Pokeball in the air, then lobbing it over the battlefield.
"Go, Skarmory!"
"Electrike!", she called as she threw the Pokeball onto the battlefield. Both of them cracked open, revealing an enthusiastic and energetic electric dog, running around wildly before settling down, focusing on the target in front of it. Skarmory, in sharp contrast to the energy that Electrike used, just fluttered slowly to the ground, resting for a second before springing into the air, rising high so it could get a bird's eye view of the battlefield. Both waited around for a second, the referee taking note of both sides before yelling,
"Battle begin!"
"Electrike, Quick Attack!"
Electrike jumped into the air, before scurrying across the battlefield, sometimes looking like it had teleported from side to side with how fast it was going. But, it was very much running. Skarmory still hung high in the air, far above the plain of which Electrike stood. So, it'd need to jump high to get up Skarmory. Thankfully, that's what Ellie had been training Electrike for, this precise moment. If Electrike doesn't have any special moves to attack, they'll just make up for it in physical moves.
