A bright glimmer shone above Lucas. It was completely blinding, obstructing his view of anything. He went to raise his hand to block it out. Instant pain soared through Lucas' arm. Lucas almost screamed from the pain, before quickly setting it back down. That wasn't gonna work. Lucas ended up just awkwardly shifting up his entire body very slowly. It felt embarrassing, but it was a relatively painless and simple process so it was better than whatever agonizing pain would be inflicted should he move a limb too suddenly. Once out the glare of the light, Lucas slowly tilted his head around the room. He sat in a hospital bed. The people flying above him hadn't been a hallucination!
"Thank Arceus...", Lucas thought as his mind drifted back to the day that he had been saved. He vaguely remembered a Crobat, which had to be Seijo. Likely not Ellie though, her phobia of Poison types hadn't gone away when she was healed. Then, there was a Balloon? But, Lucas could not remember a single person close to him that could possibly fly in on a Pokemon like that.
Lucas once again scanned the room, looking over the side of his bed and finding his backpack, still filled with stuff from where he'd left it on the beach. But, he also noticed a few Pokeballs peaking out of the top of the bag. More specifically, older ones from a long gone time. A smile spread across his face as Lucas reached into the bag, painfully and slowly grabbing all the Pokeballs. He flicked one onto the floor, breaking open and revealing Wingull, looking bright and fresh as new. Not inflicted with the damages of battle, nor the woe of Sea Mauville. It had the proudest smile on its face, which only lit up as it saw Lucas sitting up in the bed. It dived into his arms, which may have hurt Lucas, but he didn't care too much. He stroked Wingull's head then asked,
"Do you mind looking through the Pokemon Centre for a doctor? I'm sure they'll be able to call in my friends."
Wingull nodded and hopped to the foot of Lucas' bed, spreading its wings and beginning to fly through the corridors of the hospital. Lucas grabbed the remaining Pokeballs, gently placing them to the side, waiting for the others to get into the room so he could give his new friends a proper introduction. Lucas was just thankful that he was alive at this point. They must've been so worried about him after how long he'd been gone. He hadn't really spared much of a thought towards how they'd feel when he was gone, just how much he missed their company. Ultimately though, Lucas wanted nothing more than everyone to be safe and unharmed by the whole ordeal. Wingull turned the corner, looking through the door then stepping aside. Then, Ellie stepped through the door. She had her hands held together, gasping as her eyes laid on Lucas. Her eyes glistened with tears, as she suddenly rushed forwards.
"You're okay!"
"Yeah, glad to see you're doing ok too. How'd you guys end up finding me?"
"Combusken tapped into your mind and gave us some general directions."
"Oh, that's what that was! I thought I was just going insane to be honest.", Lucas said with an awkward chuckle, tapping his hands against the side of the bed, then asking, "Is Seijo here too?"
As if the hand of Arceus above had summoned him, Seijo turned the corner. He let out a huge sigh of relief, before embracing Lucas in a somewhat light hug as to not hurt him.
"Thank ARCEUS you're ok.", Seijo took another deep breath, steadying himself as he quickly pulled up a seat next to Lucas, asking, "So, what's the story?"
"It's a very long story. Do you want the shortened version or every detail?"
"Every detail.", Ellie swiftly responded, and Lucas' story began. He told of everything that he could possibly remember. All of the Pokémon that he met along the way, the abandoned facility and files that he gained access to and read through, then finally about his encounter with Spiritomb. The discolor of the walls, the chase, and its ultimate defeat thanks to the effort of his team. Then, the final few seconds looking up to the sky, before passing out.
