AN: Sorry I didn't post last night, I had a super busy day!

Betty

I groaned as I felt my stomach flip, I sat up and threw up into the trash can that was waiting for me.
"Shh, it's okay. I got you baby girl." Danielle soothed as I continued to puke.
"Mom." I groaned as I laid back in the bed.
"Aht, you need to drink some water. Your Mamma is about to bring you some toast to help settle your stomach." Danielle said as she put the trash can on the floor next to the bed and helped me sit up.

"Why are you helping me? I was a bitch." I asked as I sipped my water.
"Language. You're my kid. No matter what you say or do, you'll always be my baby girl." Danielle kissed the side of my head.
"Toast for my favorite daughter!" Stefania exclaimed happily as she walked into the bedroom.
"I'm your only daughter Mamma." I chuckled as I took the plate from her.
"Doesn't make you any less my favorite. How are you feeling?" She asked as she sat down on the bed.
"I'm okay. Just nauseous. I'm sorry-"
"Bambina. I know."

"Just let me talk Mamma. I'm sorry for what I said. It wasn't right. I love you, and I know you love me. I know you don't pretend to love me because of Danielle. You're the best Mamma ever. And Mom, I'm sorry I was a jerk to you. I'm so, so sorry. You're the best Mom ever. I'm sorry. And I'll do whatever it takes to get me back to the old me. Cause I think I need help. No, I know I need help."
"We'll get someone bambina. We'll find a great therapist that you like. And if you don't like them, we'll find another. We have your side."

"We're on her side. And we have her back." Danielle corrected with a smile.
"Oh hush. You both know what I meant. You're our Figlia."
"Fig-lay?" Danielle asked.
"Figlia, Figlia. Daughter." Stefania repeated.
"I love you guys. I don't know what I'd do without you. I'm really glad my biological Mother made me try out for Station 19." I reached over and pulled them both in a hug.

The next morning

I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a cup of coffee.
"Good morning kiddo."
"Morning Mom." I handed her my cup of coffee and poured myself a new one.
"Thank you. How'd you sleep?"
"Alright I guess. I'm still tired." I wrapped my arms around her waist and hugged her.
"Good morning bambini." Stefania said as she walked into the kitchen.
"Morning Mamma."
"We need to have a talk kid." Danielle sighed as she held me tighter.
"About?"
"Therapy."
I sighed and pulled away from her, running my hand through my hair.
"You are the one who suggested it bambina." Stefania pointed.
"I know, I know. But I changed my mind. I'm fine now." I lied.
"You're not fine Betty. You were abusing your pain pills, and then drinking when you ran out of them."
"I'm not an addict." I snapped.
"I didn't say you were. But you're on the way to becoming one." Danielle said slowly.
"Whatever." I scoffed as I walked into the living room.
"Betty, don't just push this off to the side. We're trying to help you." Danielle followed close behind me.
"Because you always help me. I'm a charity case, right?" I asked angrily as I grabbed my shoes.
"You're not a charity case! And where the hell do you think you're going?"
"To Jaina's. At least she actually wants me. I swear, sometimes I think you took me in so you could see how pathetic I am to make yourself feel better about your miserable life."

I felt the harsh sting of Danielle's hand across my face.
"Danielle!" Stefania shouted.
I stared at her as I grabbed the side she slapped.

"Betty I'm so sorry I didn't mean to. I-I'm so sorry-" Danielle stepped towards me and I backed away.
I grabbed my house keys and ran out of the house, going as fast as my legs would carry me.

Danielle

"Bambina! What the hell was that!" Stefania shouted.
"I-I didn't mean to. It just-"
"You slapped our child! After we just got her back from the people who tried to kill her!" Stefania grabbed her keys and went towards the door.
"Where are you going?" I asked. Tears were rolling down my face.
"I'm going to get my daughter."
"Oh so she's just your daughter now?" I snapped.
"You hit our child!" Stefania shouted.
"You know what? Just leave. Like everyone else does." I turned to walk away.
"I'm coming back Danielle. I'm not walking away from this." Stefania grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
