Betty
Two months later

"Hey chick!" Kaya said as she walked up.
"Hey K, what's up?" I smiled at her as I looked up from my script.
"Today's the big day!"
"Big day?"
"Our first kiss." She winked.
"Oh. Yeah. That." I chuckled nervously.
"You wanna run lines?"
"Uh sure. You wanna go to my trailer? I brought lunch, I'll split it with you."

We walked silently to my trailer, and I grabbed the pasta out of the mini fridge.
"Okay. So what exactly is the scene?" I asked as I split the food into two piles and handed her a plate.
"We're arguing. I'm the new rookie on the team, and you over hear me talking crap to Hughes about someone on the team."
"Okay, start from your last line and I'll hop in." I put my bowl of food on the table and focused on her.

"I don't even know why he's on the team. He has no idea what he's doing. Isn't he the one who killed Montgomery's husband?"
"Hey, watch your mouth Dawson."
"Was I talking to you? Mind your business Bishop."
"If you're running your mouth loud enough for everyone to hear, then you are talking to me."

"Look Mini Bishop. I don't care who you're related to, I don't care how long you've been on this team. Just because you have Mommy and Daddy issues doesn't mean you can talk to me any sort of way."
"Hey! You shut your mouth. Don't you dare talk about my Mom."
"You think you're the only one with a dead parent? Get over it Marissa. You're not the only one with life problems."
"You don't get to walk away from me Jo. You don't get to run your mouth about people and act like it's no big deal."
"What are you gonna do, huh? Go tell your sister? Grow up, and grow some balls Bishop. Stop attacking me to hide your feelings for me."

"And then we kiss." I whispered.
"Uh huh." Kaya's eyes flickered down to my lips.
"Kaya..." I cupped her cheek with my hands, and pulled her in close. Our noses touching, I could feel her shaky breath on my lips.
"Stop torturing me Betty." She whispered.

I closed the distance between us, and pressed our lips together.
Kaya wrapped her arms around my waist and pulled me on top of her lap.
I felt her slide her hands under my shirt, her hands resting on my stomach.
"Kaya. Kaya wait." I grabbed her wrists and rested my forehead against hers.
"I don't want to go any further than you do Betty." Kaya pulled back and looked into my eyes.
"I'm a- I'm a virgin." I admitted.
"And that's okay. Do you really think I just want sex?" She asked as she pushed a strand of hair out of my face.
"I don't-"
"I wanna get to know you. I wanna know your quirks, the things that make you happy, the things that make you sad. I wanna know all of it. I wanna be the reason you smile. Cause I love that smile."

I blushed and hid my face in her neck.

"And I love when you blush. It's so damn cute." She hooked her finger under my chin, and lifted it up so I could look at her.
"Can I take you on a date?" I asked.
"I'd love that." She smiled and connected our lips once more.

"Hey kid! They need you on set!" We heard Danielle shout from outside.
"Coming Mom!"
I gave Kaya one more kiss and got off her lap.

Danielle

Betty and Kaya walked out of Betty's trailer, both trying to hide their smiles.
"You guys ready for your first kiss together?" I asked teasingly.
"Uh huh. Hey, Kaya. I'll catch up with you, okay?" Betty told her.
Kaya nodded and squeezed Betty's hand before she took off.
"Can I go out tonight Mom?" She asked as we slowly made our way to set.
"Sure. You know, you don't have to ask us now. Maybe just let us know where you're going and when you'll be back home?"
"I still wanna ask you because I still live under your roof. It's a respect thing." Betty shrugged.
"Let me guess. Did Kaya finally ask you out on a date?" I nudged her with my elbow.
"No, I asked her." Betty smiled with a blush.

"Way to go kid! Where are you taking her?"
"I have absolutely no idea. I was gonna talk to Mamma about that. She's romantic."
"Hey! I'm romantic!"
"Really? When's the last time you did something romantic for Mamma?"

I thought about it, and furrowed my eyebrows together. It has been awhile since we went on a date.

"How about tonight I'll go on my date. And tomorrow night, you surprise Mamma with a romantic night out. Kaya and I will watch Rory." Betty suggested.
"I couldn't ask you to do that sweetie." I rubbed the back of my neck.
"You're not asking. I'm offering. Take mamma on a date. I'll even help."
"How?" I asked.
"So, here's what you need to do."

Betty

"Action!"

""I don't even know why he's on the team. He has no idea what he's doing. Isn't he the one who killed Montgomery's husband?"

"Hey, watch your mouth Dawson." I came up behind Kaya and threw a bag into the wagon.
"Was I talking to you? Mind your business Bishop." She scoffed and turned around to face me.
"If you're running your mouth loud enough for everyone to hear, then you are talking to me."

"Look Mini Bishop. I don't care who you're related to, I don't care how long you've been on this team. Just because you have Mommy and Daddy issues doesn't mean you can talk to me any sort of way." Kaya said while pointing her finger at my chest.
"Hey! You shut your mouth. Don't you dare talk about my Mom." I growled.
"You think you're the only one with a dead parent? Get over it Marissa. You're not the only one with life problems." Kaya went to walk away, but I grabbed her arm and spun her to face me.

"You don't get to walk away from me Jo. You don't get to run your mouth about people and act like it's no big deal." I whisper shouted as I kept my hold on her arm.
"What are you gonna do, huh? Go tell your sister? Grow up, and grow some balls Bishop. Stop attacking me to hide your feelings for me!"

I pulled her body against mine, and crashed our lips together.
Kaya pushed me against the fire truck, and started unbuttoning my shirt.

"And cut! Great work ladies!" The director yelled.

"Good job K." I winked as I buttoned up my uniform shirt.
"Not bad yourself." She chuckled and walked off set to get a water.

"Betty! Your Mom said you wanted to see me?" Stefania said as she walked up.
"Please tell me you weren't watching my make out scene." I groaned.
"No, I looked away for that part. But you two have amazing chemistry. Like someone else I know." She nudged me with her elbow.
"Ha ha. But I need advice. What's the most romantic thing you can think of?" I whispered as we walked off set.
"Dinner on a beach. With flower petals and candles and wine- wait, why?"
"I'm taking Kaya on a date night. I wanted your opinion on what to do. Well, minus the wine." I shrugged.

"Ooo I have the perfect idea. Meet me at home and I'll get you ready, then you can go get all the stuff!" Stefania squealed excitedly and skipped off.

"What's your Mamma so happy about?" Kaya walked up and handed me a water bottle.
"Oh nothing. Can I pick you up around seven tonight?" I asked with a smile.
"Of course. Text me when you're on your way." She kissed my cheek, and walked away.
