Betty
I quietly grabbed my bag, and tip toed down the stairs.
"Where do you think you're going?" David asked.
"To work. It's my first day filming." I told him.
"Don't bother coming home tonight. Your mother and I are having a party." He said with a smirk.
I quickly walked out of the house, and started the walk to the studio.
I sighed and put an ear bud in and started blaring Paramore.
I heard a car pull up next to me, and my body stiffened.
"Betty? What are you doing?"
I turned and saw Danielle.
"Uh, walking to work." I said.
"Come on, get in. I'll drive you."
I walked to the passenger side, and got in.
"You okay?" She asked as she started driving again.
"Yeah. My Mom had to work again this morning." I stared out the window.
"I can pick you up whenever she has to work if you want. You're on my way to the studio anyway."
"It's no big deal. I don't want to bother you." I said quickly.
"Oh stop it. You won't bother me. You're literally on my way! You want Starbucks?" She asked as she pulled into the drive through.
"No thank you." I said.
"You sure? We have a long day ahead of us. I think we're working till around eleven tonight." She said.
"I don't have any money." I said looking down.
"I'll pay. What do you like?" She looked at the menu.
"Whatever you get is fine. Thank you." I said.
Danielle ordered us two caramel macchiatos and two sausage egg and cheddar sandwiches.
"Thank you." I said as I happily sipped my macchiato.
"No problem sweetheart. Did you have a good night last night?" She asked with a smile on her face.
"Yes. It looks like you did too." I said trying to hold back my smile.
She looked at me confused as she pulled into the parking spot.
"You have a little something on your neck." I pointed.
She looked in the mirror, and mumbled something to herself while her face turned red.
I laughed and we got out of the car as Stefania was pulling in.
"Buongiorno bellas!" She said as she got out.
"Good morning Stefania." I said.
"Thank you for dinner last night Danielle. I had fun." She said with a smile.
Danielle's face turned red as I put two and two together.
I stifled a laugh as Stefania walked off.
"So, what was that about not dating her?" I whispered as we walked to hair and makeup.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She said.
*An few hours later*
"Kid! Hey kid! Look at me. It's going to be okay. I promise." Danielle was knelt down in front of me, as I cried in the middle of the station.
"It's not okay! I didn't even know I had a sister! And now my Mom dies, and you just show up and try to be the hero?"
"I'm sorry about your Mom! I did everything I could do. We got you out first, and by the time we could go back in it was too late."
"You should have saved her first! I need her!" I shouted as I collapsed on the ground, sobbing into her arms.
"I got you kid. I got you."
"Cut! Amazing work ladies!" The director yelled.
"Dude, that was awesome!" Grey gave me a high five.
"Thank you." I wiped my face from the tears.
"You really have a talent for this Betty." Danielle said with a smile.
"Bambinas! Do you want to grab lunch with Jaina, Barrett, and me?" Stefania asked.
"Sure! Betty you wanna come? Don't worry about money I got you."
"Uh sure." I got nervous not knowing who Barrett and Jaina were.
We walked over to the cafeteria, and I grabbed another salad.
"I'm paying this time. You paid for lunch and dinner yesterday." Stefania told Danielle.
"Fine. But I'll get it next time."
"Maybe tonight?" I heard Stefania say before I walked up.
"You get what you wanted kid?" Danielle asked.
"Yes ma'am. Thank you for lunch Stefania."
"It's no problem bella."
We walked over to the table where two ladies were sitting.
"Jaina, Barrett, this is Betty. She plays Marissa, my sister. Jaina plays Andy Herrera, and Barrett plays Vic Hughes." Danielle said as we sat down.
"It's nice to meet you guys." I told them.
"I watched your guys' scene today. You're really talented Betty. All that raw emotion is hard to express." Barrett said.
I blushed and smiled down at my lap.
"Forse potresti venire a casa mia stasera Danielle. Possiamo cenare e magari giocare un po'." Stefania said with a smirk to Danielle. (Maybe you could come over to my house tonight Danielle. We can eat dinner and play around a little bit.)
I choked on the bite of salad that I put in my mouth.
"Are you okay?" Danielle asked, patting my back.
"Sì. Semplicemente non penso che Stefania si renda conto di parlare italiano." I said after taking a drink of my water. (Yes. I just don't think Stefania realizes I speak Italian.)
"Parli italiano?" Stefania asked with a red face.
"Sì. My dad was part Italian." I said giving Stefania a look.
"Great! Now we can have Betty here translate what Stefania is saying when she gets mad." Jaina joked.
We finished our lunch, and Stefania, Danielle and I walked out of the cafeteria.
"So, what did you say back there? Obviously something embarrassing." Danielle asked Stefania.
"Something about dinner tonight and playing around." I said while looking straight ahead.
"Stef! Betty, please don't tell anyone. We're not supposed to... whatever with co-workers." Danielle begged.
"I promise. Who would I tell anyway. You two are the only ones I talk to." I shrugged.
"You need to watch what you're saying around new people." Danielle looked at Stefania.
"How am I supposed to know that she speaks Italian!" Stefania said with a laugh.
*Ten o'clock that night*'
"Good night everybody! We'll see you all tomorrow!" Krista shouted as we all walked out.
"Hey Betty, is your mom picking you up?" Danielle asked.
"Uh yeah. She is." I said quickly.
"We'll wait till she gets here. I don't like the idea of you staying here alone." Stefania said.
"I'm fine guys. Really."
"I know you might be fine. But we'll wait." Danielle said.
We walked into my trailer and they sat down on the couch in there.
"Where do you go to school?" Stefania asked.
"Oh I'm already done with high school. I graduated a month ago." I said as I grabbed my phone, pretending to text my Mom.
"You're fifteen and you graduated already?" Danielle asked.
"Yeah. I skipped a few grades. The plan was to go to Juilliard, but they won't take me until I'm eighteen." I reached up to grab my bag off the top shelf.
"Betty what's that on your side?" Danielle asked.
