"Even Matt and Gill?!" Sage asked.

"Yup," Reggie was trying so hard not to laugh right then. As much as he hadn't wanted this conversation to be brought up so soon, he was enjoying it. Sage's reaction to it was priceless. "Black Tooth pack. Matt's actually the second in command."

"How?!" he looked so baffled. "He was the dumbest of the entire table! And proud of it too!"

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to lead a small pack like that one," Reggie laughed. Matt always made himself off to seem like a dumbass. Everyone did when they were around Sage, actually. He just brought the fun out of them all.

But he knew how Matt acted when he was away from school. He was serious when it came to leading. He only wished good things on that pack.

"What about Jenna?"

"She's actually a Luna," he told him. "Found her mate right when she turned eighteen and moved over to the Blue Heels pack."

"How many important people did you wind up meeting, Reggie?" Michael looked at him curiously. The rest that was there were completely confused as they went in their own little world.

"Tons," he shrugged. "That was the whole point of that school anyway. It was so that we all could get to know each other to possibly create ties to each other's packs."

"So, basically like any other charter school," Sage rolled his eyes. "Just with werewolves."

"Yup," a new voice stopped their conversation. Max quickly walked in the room and sat next to Victor. "It was also so Reggie could learn to start talking to more people."

He must have been using Victor as an excuse to walk in right then. Knowing him, he was probably dying for an excuse to pop in on them and learn more about Sage. That was what the rest of the pack had been trying to do for the entire week that he had been there. If they weren't on strict orders not to pry too much, this room would be packed with at least twenty people.

That reminded him, where did Charlie go? He was supposed to be helping him carry boxes somewhere and then they both got completely side tracked with this conversation. Now that he looked around the room, the blond had somehow disappeared.

"I was wondering why he seems a little quieter here," Sage said. Even though he didn't seem super comfortable with Max just yet, it was good to know that he was talking to him normally. "You should have seen him at school. He could talk a squirrel to death."

"A squirrel?" Reggie raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Don't get on me about making a dog reference," Sage squinted his eyes. "You already made like a thousand of them before I even knew you could change into one!"

Reggie laughed at that. He was waiting for the moment when he would finally be able to talk to him about all of those times. That was how he got by with not telling him that he was a werewolf.

No, he wouldn't get on him about that. He'd much rather get on him for a whole other reason than wordplay.

"Who were some of the people you guys met?" Max asked. He seemed genuinely curious, which only made him more suspicious. Max wasn't the type of person who just sat down randomly to talk to someone, especially not at this time of day. He wondered what was going on in the alpha's head.

"Tommy Gun Tim," Sage counted on his finger.

"Top warrior of the Silver Bullet pack," Reggie explained.

"Laffy Taffy."

"The one and only tank in the Fire Pack," he said. "Although her actual name is Jisselle."
