"Sage?"

"Hmm?"

"How long do you plan on keeping me hostage?"

"Forever," those lovely arms clung to him tighter, his face buried in his shoulder.

It was great living with him, and he absolutely loved the fact that he was able to wake up every morning to the love of his life. There was so much he loved about life now. After so long of being tense and stressed, he had never been so relaxed and happy.

They had moved into a bigger room. It was a suite that had separated rooms rather than everything being all bunched together. Charlie and Max had given them a room on the second floor as a gift for all they had done. He was sure that Charlie was planning it as an early wedding gift, even though he hadn't even thought of that yet. He was planning on saving a bit before doing all that stuff. He didn't want to be too pushy with Sage anyway. The room gave them a lot of space to grow and get more things together. Eric and Jane had their own suite now as well.

He loved all of it. He hadn't been happier in all his life.

But he still needed to get up.

"We have things to do, Sage," Reggie laughed as he was pulled back into the fluffy bed again. Every time he so much as moved an inch, Sage would groan and tighten his stranglehold on him. This was why he had wound up late to so many things lately. It was a good thing that they weren't busy with a bunch of important things going on right now. Because as soon as those sweet lips met his, he was a goner.

"I don't want to," he whined.

"You'll get to see your uncle again," he coaxed. "And the rest of them."

"All it means is that they're going to be leaving," he said, his voice changing from whiny to sad really quick.

"You'll see them again, Honey," he promised.

It had been a month since the fight with the hunters, and it really seemed as if time flew. So much had happened. It was crazy to think that the hunters had only been around for three months, and only two of those they knew of them. But the month after was when even more seemed to happen, all of it good.

Max and Charlie were already planning their vacation with their family. They were just waiting until everything else was all squared away. They made most of the repairs to the house in a week. But they both thought it'd be best to let the warriors go on their vacations first. Max just seemed happy that Charlie was alive and getting better. He was already close to normal health.

He was getting pampered and babied by everyone. Reggie and Eric usually swapped days where they would take care of any paperwork for him. He was planning on going back to work in another month, if Dr. Button would let him. They had plenty of people to take over his role temporarily, anyway. And he deserved a break after all they've been through.

With the forest finally being peaceful once again, Sage was finally able to plan out the memorial for his grandma. She was the only one to die by the hands of those hunters, and they were all relieved that they could find some justice for her. Now she could rest peacefully knowing that this place was safe once more. It was planned to be at her hut. Him and a few others helped Sage set up for it the day before. There was snow on the ground that they had to shovel around there so that they could still spread her ashes. He just had to keep Sage from crying while he was giving his speech.

He would see his family again, though. Reggie would make sure of it. They'd visit that city of Snake's once a year or he'd convince Max to let the bat pop in for a visit or something. It wasn't like it would be difficult. Snake had earned their trust, as much as a vampire could. And they all knew just how much Snake, Glinda and Dakota meant to Sage. This wasn't goodbye forever.
