Author's Note: !!!HEAVY THEME WARNING!!! Hi guys! I have good news, and I have bad news. The bad news is what this warning is about. Welcome to the saddest chapter I have ever written in any story. I got way too emotional as I was writing it, and cried at least five times. So, please don't try to kill me for doing this, because my heart already broke a thousand times trying to write it.
The good news: Since this is such a sad chapter, and I have a history of not having cliffhangers with this series, I'm going to be giving you guys FOUR CHAPTERS today! Yes, it's four whole chapters! Is it all sad? Not entirely, no. But, it's way more better than waiting for the daily updates to see what's going to happen next.
With all of that out of the way, I hope you all prepare yourselves to cry for this chapter, and thoroughly enjoy the rest. Thanks for all the votes and comments!

Three days. It had been three days since the incident. Three days since Max had been able to eat properly or sleep at all. Three days since the moment that changed his life forever happened.
He knew he shouldn't have let him go. He didn't want to. But he let him convince him to go to his warriors and try to take them out as fast as possible. They were strong, but his warriors were stronger. Even Snake and his group were there. They had nothing but determination on their faces as they tried to wipe out the hunters with them. It surprised him that a vampire would still go through such great lengths, even with all that he had learned about him.
"These weapons are specially designed for Star Children," Snake said. "It harvests their power, by harvesting their souls. They're extremely dangerous to even touch for Star Children."
"Why do they want to harvest their souls?"
"Because they can use it to gain their power," he told him. "The more souls they capture, the more powerful they become."
He wished he had known that they were coming. He wished he had known that they had a secret entrance right into their own backyard. He thought he had saved him when they were by the window. That everything was going to be alright as soon as these hunters were taken care of. He would have died himself if he had known that it could have kept him from getting hurt.
He rushed over there as soon as he felt it. It was as if his heart just got slashed open. He couldn't focus on anything but the man that had brought him nothing but happiness for fifteen long years. They were supposed to stay together for as long as possible. They were supposed to grow old together, watching the many children that they adopted grow up and have kids of their own. They were supposed to always have each other to hold at night, so that their dreams would always be sweet.
Now it was as if he had been brought into a nightmare. One that he couldn't get out of.
"There's not much I can do for him," Dr. Button said, sadness in his voice. "Sage healed his physical wounds right when it happened. That took care of internal bleeding as well. The rest just has to heal by itself."
He held onto that hand. That was the first night. He couldn't sleep while he waited for some sign of hope that he was going to make it. He could barely ask his father to take care of the kids for the meantime. He was glad that they were so understanding. The whole pack was at a standstill that night. While he waited, wide awake in fear, so did they. It took a lot for an Alpha to fear, especially one as strong and experienced as him. But he broke so easily when it came to the man that was in that hospital bed that night.
It took until the afternoon of the next day for him to see any kind of hope. Those beautiful green eyes fluttered open, dazed and confused. They looked around the room as if they had no idea where they were. But all it took was one look at Max for that smile to light up the room.
