A few days flew by just like the sun did. The colder it got outside, the warmer it seemed to be in the humungous house. Sage was still riding on the high of having that day off with Reggie. He had actually told him that he didn't want them to be a secret anymore. He loved that they were finally able to be open about things, but he was slightly concerned about his parents.
"Aren't you worried about your parent's reaction?" he asked. He already knew that his father hated him. And, from what Reggie had told him before all of this, his mom didn't seem any better.
"I already told them," He said. "Although I wasn't really planning on doing it that soon."
"They don't like that you're gay, do they?" Sage asked him. He worried about Reggie. The main reason why he never wanted to push him to telling people about them was because he knew just how strict those parents of his were. Even if they didn't care about him being gay, they would definitely give Sage test after test to prove that he was worthy of their son.
"Don't worry about that," Reggie shook his head. Then he looked up and smiled. "They'll get over it. Let's just have fun today."
They wound up staying in that room all day. Reggie slept half of it. He seemed so exhausted. Sage was contemplating talking to Charlie about just how much Reggie was being stretched, but he didn't exactly want to press his luck with this pack. Sure, some of them liked him, but he knew of at least two that didn't.
Late afternoon was when all of their friends decided to pop in for a visit. Most of them already knew that they were going to be a thing, which baffled him.
"That was the secret that he didn't want me to tell," Ana winked at him. "Still wish I could have told you earlier. Maybe it would have sped you two up a bit."
He didn't care about that. He was just glad that it was out in the open now. Now they didn't have that awkward tension when someone else was in the room.
He also didn't realize just how touchy Reggie could be until then. He absolutely loved to cuddle, hug, or wrap an arm around him when they were hanging out. Sometimes he would rest his arm on his head, just to mess with him. Most of their friends got a laugh out of it.
"I still can't believe you didn't know he was gay," Victor shook his head.
"Keep your face still," he grabbed his chin. "Before I make a huge line with this makeup and we have to start all over."
He had finally convinced someone to let him get some fresh air outside. It was just the back porch, but man, was it so refreshing! This was proof that you could get house logged even in a mansion. Sage had been stuck inside with nothing to do for about a month at this point and it was driving him insane.
The back porch was nice, even though it was freezing outside. He was grateful that Victor had lent him one of his snow coats, because he was about to freeze to death, and it was only the beginning of winter.
"It was so obvious," Victor continued. He knew that he was just trying to egg him on at this point. He was a good friend to have, though.
"Shut up," Sage rolled his eyes. "It wasn't obvious to me, okay?"
"You went to school with him and never realized?"
"He never looked at any guy in that way!" he argued. "How was I supposed to know?"
"I guess you have a point," Victor said. "I mean, I didn't start really thinking about it until I saw the way he looked at you."
"If you're just trying to embarrass me," he slitted his eyes at him. "I'm going to draw a happy little fairy on your cheek."
