Soobin picked Beomgyu up on the night of the party straight from work and Beomgyu struggled to change from his work outfit to a more decent outfit in the backseat. He finished later than usual tonight as his boss was in a bad mood, giving him lots of tasks to do, and he did not have time to change or look at himself in the mirror.
"Whatever you do, don't look at me while I am half naked." Beomgyu called out from the backseat as he removed his boring work pants, replacing it with tight, black jeans.
Soobin scoffed, "Please, I don't want to make my eyes bleed."
Beomgyu muttered to himself about how rude Soobin was as he put on a light pink shirt.
They finally reached the beach and the party was already in full swing. There was a huge villa, framed by the twilight sky, the ocean rippling behind it. Beomgyu was starting to feel intimidated by the crowd.
"Do I look okay?" He turned around to Soobin, insecurity and nervousness clouding his eyes.
Soobin outstretched a hand, patting his hair down, before taking a good look at him.
"Perfect." He smiled.
Beomgyu gave a small smile back, even though it did not reach his eyes. He does not do well with crowds and especially with people he knew he did not have any connections with.
Yeonjun was already in the villa somewhere, probably cooking up a storm and Beomgyu followed Soobin up the stairs to the party.
After finding Yeonjun and stuffing their stomachs with the all-you-can-eat buffet, Soobin abandoned Beomgyu in favour of talking to a guy who look like a young CEO, who was his ex-boss and a regular customer at his café.
Soobin's dream was to open a chain of cafés around Seoul that could cater to the needs of students as well as the office workers. He finally opened one last year, leaving his job as a personal assistant to this man and attending to the café full time. Needless to say, the café became extremely popular over time. Soobin's ex-boss, who was a young man, probably around their age, was a saint compared to Beomgyu's current boss, the former had supported and helped Soobin through the struggles of opening a café and even tried to visit him as much as he could now.
Beomgyu decided to go out of the building for some fresh air, maybe the peaceful rippling of the ocean would send a spurt of motivation into him to compose a masterpiece and also aid in calming his nerves down. He grabbed a glass of wine before heading out at the back, away from the crowd, gazing out at the ocean.
He was starting to get lost in the calmness of his thoughts, sipping his wine, and admiring the beauty of nature when he suddenly heard a voice call out.
"Beomgyu?"
He had heard that voice before, in fact, he had heard that voice moan out his name multiple times in one night.
It could not be.
Turning around, he looked at the direction of the voice, his heartbeat escalating when he saw that it was him.
It was Taehyun.
He stood tall in a suit that looked like it was tailored specifically for him, hugging him in all the right curves and he looked even more delicious. His blond hair made his features stand out even more, under the moonlight.
"What are you doing here?" Beomgyu choked out before he could stop himself.
The man chuckled, running a hand through his hair, "I should be asking you that..." He said, clearing his throat, looking a bit embarrassed. "This is kind of my party."
