RedRunner sat at the edge of Feather's medical bed, smiling down at her. The pale orange SkyWing looked up at him with her beautiful blue eyes. Feather then blinked clutching the white egg tighter.

"I- I'm sorry," she admitted, looking away. RedRunner forgivingly stroked her grey-striped cheek.

"I probably should've told you sooner.. I was just too afraid.. we had never talked about dragonets, heck, we aren't even married.."

"It's alright. You don't have to be sorry, it wasn't your fault that all this happened," RedRunner replied honestly. She glanced back at him in surprise.

"I know it was a mistake.." he continued, gesturing to the egg. "..but we should still give it the best life possible." Feather nodded in agreement.

They both took a moment to stare at it. It's glossy, white shell glimmered pale orange-yellow in the flickering torchlight. He began to wonder what his dragonet would look like when it hatched. Is it a girl or a boy? I hope for a boy, he decided.

RedRunner whipped his attention away when he heard a rustling in the doorway. Looking back, he realized it was his brother again. He tilted his head in confusion. What is Flint doing here again? He literally just left 5 minutes ago..

The dark ginger SkyWing glanced up from the floor. Confusion was in his gaze.

"Flint? What's wrong?" RedRunner asked, shifting on his talons. Feather's attention was drawn from the egg to the twins.

"It was.. Mother.. is crying?" the Firescales stammered. His eyes widened.

"Mother?" the scarlet-red SkyWing gaped, lashing his tail. Flint nodded.

"What happened?" Feather broke in softly. His brother hesitated.

"Heron whispered something to her and she began to cry."

"Heron?" Admiral Kenobi asked out of nowhere, making all three of them jump.

    "Yeah."

"I'll do some research. Y'know, dig into his past and stuff.." the Admiral offered.

"Alright, could you report to us what you come up with?" RedRunner questioned. Admiral Kenobi nodded.

"Of course," he stated, turning-tail and leaving the infirmary again.

"Now what were we talking about?" RedRunner commented. Flint opened his mouth, about to reply but stopped when RedRunner removed a tiny black box from under his wing. Feather's eyes widened.

"Feather.." RedRunner began, opening it to reveal a beautiful sapphire-embedded, silver ring. Flint must've realized what was going on because he had disappeared through the doorway.

"We've been dating for quite a long time.." he sighed, smiling while remembering all of those years he spent meeting her under the cover of night.

"Oh my gosh.." the soft SkyWing murmured, blushing and burying her face in her talons.

"And with the current events, I believe it's high time we made a commitment."

    "Oh.. my.. gosh...."

"Feather," RedRunner stated, dead serious. "Will you marry me?"
