Though they were in different states, it didn't stop the memories and thoughts.
It's like they both fell off the earth. Karl never posted on Instagram anymore, though Sapnap knew he eventually wanted to again. A while after they met and got closer, Karl talked about how he was barely active on social media and wanted to get back into it, especially Instagram. That didn't happen, though. Sapnap had never posted on social media anyways, but he had his own form of isolation: he rarely went out. The only time he left his dorm was when he went to work or class.
Sapnap had lied to Quackity and told him that him and Karl just weren't going to work. He didn't want to force Karl back, especially since he blocked him. He's sure Karl didn't want Quackity texting for Sapnap's mess-up. He blocked him for a reason. He's unsure of said reason, but it's probably because he seemed like an ass for not showing up. He's also embedded the idea that Karl just didn't want him anymore into his brain. He's gone, in a new state; time to start over. Due to this and his routine of only going to work and classes, after a while, it all started feeling like it could get better.
Until he got the notification. karljacobs just posted for the first time in a while. Karl was back on social media, his mind tried to comprehend it as he clicked the notification. Why wasn't he blocked on here? Was it because Karl wanted him to be unblocked or did he just forget Sapnap even had an account? His eyes scanned the screen, stopping on Karl.

He cut his hair, is the first thing Sapnap notices. His features have gotten sharper too. He looks like he has more muscle on his bones, and his face looks full of color and he looks more tan. He looks good, Sapnap concludes, Karl looks good. This hurts Sapnap.
Sapnap isn't sure if the blank expression on his face shows how he feels in general or if he's actually happy and just doing it for the photo. He sits for a moment, trying to figure it out until something else catches his eye. The location: Portland, Oregon. What is he doing back home, here? Is he visiting family? It says "we out here," does that mean they're leaving?Sapnap almost wants to question why he wasn't informed of anything, but they haven't talked in seven months. That's a stupid question.
Sapnap squeezes his eyes shut and moves to sit down at his computer. He goes to chrome and begins searching, trying to find something he likes. He ends up searching for almost an hour and a half until he finds the one. He scrolls down the page, clicks onto a tab, then clicks a link. He begins writing his email.
That June, he transferred to a college in Florida. Quackity understood and let him, and they both promised to stay in touch always. Finally, he was away. Away from any chance of seeing Karl; running into him on the street during a visit, or on the dorm couch, in the small dorm kitchen, or in his twin bed. He'd no longer be haunted by Karl. The thought relieves him because he's almost 100 percent positive that he doesn't haunt Karl's mind. He finally won't be the only one helplessly in love.
"I love you so much, nothing will change that" his words repeat in his brain. Karl said the same thing to him. He guesses they both were wrong.
In Florida, he met Dream. They met on a Minecraft server, of all things. They began talking and clicked, both easily bouncing off of each other's jokes and energy. They soon were best friends.
They were shocked when they realized they were both in Florida. In almost two months, Sapnap was packing his things and moving in with Dream. Together, they became more active on their Youtube channels (Dream helped Sapnap set up his).
Sapnap was positive he was getting better. When Karl posted, it didn't bother him that much. Well, he turned off his notifications to refrain from looking, but that's besides the point. He was positive that he was over Karl and would be okay. He moved, which shows he moved on.
Right.
Right?
