It's 8:30 in the morning. Sapnap rolls over and groans, then slowly blinks open his eyes. "Good morning, sunshine" Dream chirps from beside him. Sapnap glares at him and adjusts his seat. "If George's flight didn't have to arrive at fucking 9 in the morning, I would be sleeping comfortably in my bed" Sapnap argues. Dream shakes his head, chuckling. "I cannot wait to experience you and George living together" Dream admits, "Please, try and keep your arguing down."
Sapnap scoffs, "What about you and him? You'll be on each other's throats, not at them. Ew, I don't want to think about that now." Sapnap gags and Dream pushes him lightly. "Shut up, George doesn't like me like that" Dream's voice surprisingly drops an octave. Sapnap furrows his eyebrows, "Are you sure? Do you even know him?" Dream's expression falls to confusion, "Yes, if you joke about us, he ignores it or denies it" Dream answers. Sapnap laughs, "What if he does that because he does like you?"
"Shut up, Sap, that's not funny" Dream frowns, adjusting his grip on the steering wheel. "Okay, if he goes to you first, he loves you" Sapnap bets. Dream glances curiously at Sapnap, "What?" "If he hugs you first and looks like his melting in your embrace, man's head over heels for you. I'll stand in front too. Give him the option, and if he chooses you first when we see him at the airport, I'll hold it against him. More bickering for you to enjoy" Sapnap explains. Dream laughs warmly, "You're an idiot." "But do you want to take the bet? Let's see what happens, we're almost there anyways" Sapnap smirks.
"Can we place money?" Sapnap continues his topic. Dream chuckles, "No way." "You just don't want to lose money because I'm right" Sapnap pressures. Dream's jaw drops slightly, "Fine. $100" Sapnap hardens his gaze at Dream, "$150." "Deal" Dream agreed. Sapnap's smirk grows wider, "Don't want to lose too much, do you?" Dream scoffs, "$250." Sapnap grins victoriously, "Deal!"
Dream holds out his right hand and Sapnap takes it into a firm handshake. "Good luck" Dream acts like a team-player. Sapnap shakes his head as he laughs, "Do I even need it?"
Eventually, they pull into the airport. As Dream trudges through the morning traffic, Sapnap texts George on the phone. Sapnap updates him on the line and parking, while George updates Sapnap on his departing, terminal, and luggage claim. When they park, Dream takes the phone from Sapnap.
"Hey, where can we meet you? We're coming in now" Dream questions, unbuckling his seatbelt. "Needy" Sapnap whispers, but Dream hears it and flicks him on the arm playfully. Sapnap follows Dream around as him and George talk through the phone. Sapnap tries peeking over the crowd to see him, but he has no luck.
"I told him where we came in, so he said he'd try and come this way" Dream explains. Sapnap nods his head, "Okay, remember the plan. I'll be in front and kinda to the side. Easy access to you, but I'll still be closer. His pick." Dream nods, though he still believes Sapnap sounds kind of ridiculous.
Dream stops in his tracks. "Oh, God. I see him, Sap. He's real" Dream breathes. Sapnap snorts, "Did you ever doubt he was? George, the catfish?" "Here, this area is clearer, let's stay here" Dream ignores him. Sapnap moves to stand in front of Dream like the plan.
George spots them as he's walking their way. His mouth forms a grin and his eyes crinkle at the sides from how happy he is. He speeds up his steps, tugging his suitcase behind him. George nears, "Dream! Sapnap!" He let's go of his luggage and holds out his arms, not stopping his movements.
Sapnap watches closely as George reaches five feet away. Dream steps forward and opens his arms as George hits three feet away. They meet in the middle.
George exhales gently as his head hits Dream's chest and his arms wrap around Dream's torso. Dream's arms move over his shoulder and he presses his palms flat against his back to pull him impossibly closer. "It's so good to finally meet you" George whispers. Dream chuckles and George can feel the vibrations erupt from Dream's chest, it sends a shiver down his spine. "It's so good to hear you actually say that" Dream comments, smiling down at George. George pulls away and smiles up at him, his hands still on Dream's forearms, not letting go quite yet.
Sapnap is very fond of the exchange knowing he was right. George did pick Dream, he knew it when George first saw them from across the way. George locked eyes with Dream, then Sapnap, then they flew right back to Dream. George doesn't admit things, but Sapnap knows George more than he lets show.
Sapnap clears his throat, "Hello? Where the fuck is my hug, love bird? I exist too!" George's eyes widen, his cheeks turning beet red. He pulls Sapnap into a warm hug. George whispers into his ear, "Is it obvious?" Sapnap nods, "Don't worry about it, seriously." George furrows his eyebrows, but they soften when him and Sapnap lock eyes. Sapnap mimics his expression. "I'm so happy to have you here, George. We're going to do so much fun stuff here, and I can show you around, including Dream, he'll be there. It's so weird talking to you face-to-face, I can't believe it. It's so surreal" Sapnap rambles, eyes darting across George's face and limbs.
"I can say the same to you guys. You're real, you're actually real" he smiles softly, his eyes watering. Sapnap pulls him back into a bear hug. Dream wraps his arms around both of them. "The Dream Team finally is united. I love you two so much" Dream breathes, chuckling in disbelief. "Fuck y'all though, I didn't want to get rid sappy" Sapnap groans, wiping his eyes. George laughs, "Wittle babwie"
"Alright, that's it, hold me back, Dream" Sapnap jokes, puffing up his chest. George pretends to square up. Dream wraps an arm around one of their shoulders each. "Let's go home" he states, and it's such a genuine, surreal truth. George grabs his suitcase and wraps his other arm around Dream's back. Sapnap does the same. "Home; that sounds nice" George confesses.
And yes, Dream later paid Sapnap the $250.
