Chapter 9 - Dominic in Dilemma

JOEY: Wassup Makoto!

DOMINIC: ...

EVAN: It's Makoto!!! An ally has arrived to the party!!

Evan started doing a bunch of Naruto hand signs

FERGUSS: Aye y'all that's my boi Makoto!

Joey started repeatedly winking to Makoto. Makoto was confused. Then he realized, there was an empty seat right in between Joey's, and Holly's. Makoto's face got red.

JOEY: We'll see if it really isn't like that now huh?

Joey had a huge grin on his face. Makoto sat down and he and Dominic stared at each other. Dominic made a weird face at Makoto. Makoto ignored him. The teacher, Ms. Duncan, finally said something.

MS. DUNCAN: It's hot in here. So we're gonna go outside in a minute.

TYRONE: Bet.

EVAN: Oo! I get to explore a Level 25+ area as I'm just a Level 10.

JOEY: Dude can you shut up I will beat your based cringe ass.

EVAN: Joey Austin!! You dare threaten me!

JOEY: I don't see anything wrong with that. You're a weirdo. I'll spell it out: W-E-I-R-D-O.

MS. DUNCAN: Alright class, we're going outside now.

JOEY: Evan I'm ramming your ass on the concrete floor you better be ready.

MAKOTO: Don't actually fight him. That's unnecessary.

JOEY: I never said I'm fighting him. I just said I'll beat his ass.

Makoto smirked. Finally, the class walked outside to the back of the schools which was their home football field. People were getting excited cause maybe they thought they were gonna play football or something.

Dominic tapped Makoto's shoulder.

MAKOTO: ?

DOMINIC: There's something I need to ask you, but in private.

Dominic and Makoto walk away from the crowd. Holly notices. They walk far enough so that the crowd would sound like a background effect.

MAKOTO: What is it that you need to ask me?

DOMINIC: You're part of THEM. Arent you.

MAKOTO: ... part of who?

DOMINIC: You're part of THE Masami Family. Your family was one of the five that built this village.

MAKOTO: ...

DOMINIC: Makoto, I wanted to ask you this in third period. But I didn't know how to get your attention.

MAKOTO: So you had to say racial-slurs?

DOMINIC: It was stressful, I wanted to be cool while my friends were watching. You understand, right? Anyways, since you ARE part of them, do you know the secrets of this village. My grandpa knew the story way better than I ever could.

MAKOTO: To be honest, I really don't care.

Makoto walked away.

DOMINIC: !!, how am I more interested in this than you! You literally share HIS blood. Don't you know, everyone in your family has a certain destiny to do!

Makoto stopped walking. Then he looked back and said.

MAKOTO: I already know my destiny, and I'm going to fulfill it.

Makoto walked away back to the crowd. Most of the boys were running around tackling each other. Mainly Joey ramming Evan to the ground. Most of the girls were on the sidelines sitting on the grass on their phones. Holly was watching Makoto and
Dominic talk the whole time. Several minutes later. The first day of school ends.
