Chapter 15 - Indispensable Action

The students started freaking out. Ms. Duncan walked to her class.

MS. DUNCAN: Everyone, I know things might be looking to-

MAKOTO: Officer, does the mayor know about this? We gotta tell him! So he can warn everyone!

Makoto ran to the town center, which was conveniently across the school.

OFFICER: Wait, young man! Don't go!

HOLLY: Makoto!

JOEY: Makoto, what are you doing?

The officer chased after Makoto. The running didn't take long. Makoto eventually got there and the officer was still chasing him. Almost everyone was watching.

Makoto tried to open the doors, but they were locked. There was a doorbell next to the door. Makoto rang it multiple times.

OFFICER: Kid, stop!

The officer caught up to Makoto. Suddenly, a man answered from a speaker above the doorbell.

MAN: Who is this?

MAKOTO: I need to speak with the mayor! It's urgent!

MAN: I am the Mayor.

MAKOTO: Mayor Bristol! I don't know if you already know this, but one of the teachers of Sundeen High was found dead, today! You have to do something about it. Warn everyone, a killer is on the loose! In Sundeen Village!

OFFICER: Young man...

MAYOR: I know this already. Go, leave. You make me sick.

Makoto had a devastating look on his face. Then got serious. Then said in a soft voice.

MAKOTO: Fine, I'll do it myself.

Makoto walked away. The officer was left standing there. Makoto walked to the front of the town center, where there was a huge bell with a rope to pull. Makoto grabbed the rope. And started ringing the bell back and forth. It was loud enough to be heard through the entire village.

MAKOTO: Everyone!

The crowd of students watched Makoto.

EVAN: Anyone else notice that no other school busses have arrived yet?

DOMINIC: What is he doing?

There were houses across the town center. Some people came out.

RESIDENT 1: Stop that noise!

RESIDENT 2: What are you doing??

MAKOTO: Everyone, if you look at the school, you'll see police cars and people outside. That's because someone literally died! There's a killer on the loose out there!

RESIDENT 2: A killer?!

Suddenly, there was a loud voice which sounded like it was coming from big speaker. It was the mayor.

MAYOR: Someone arrest this kid, and keep him in a cell overnight. He's crazy. He doesn't know what he's saying.

The residents were scared out of their minds.

MAYOR: Someone arrest him!

Dominic, Joey, Jacob, Ferguss, and Evan were running to Makoto. The officer from before was also running to Makoto. Makoto stepped back a little bit. Makoto fell to the ground. The officer was catching up pulling out a tazer, about to taze Makoto with it until, someone grabs the tazer and pulls it from his hand. It was Yoshi. The students stopped running.

YOSHI: Woah there, no doing that to my little brother.

OFFICER: My apologies, Captain Yoshi.

DOMINIC: Makoto has a brother?

JOEY: Makoto's brother is a cop?! And a captain at that! He's only a senior!

MAYOR: Yoshi, of course he's your brother! You two are both little rascals.

Yoshi chuckled and helped Makoto back up.

YOSHI: You should head home, Makoto. I know it's been a rough day. Mr. Wazowski, the PE teacher was found dead today. But don't worry, we'll access the situation and take care of it. See ya.

Yoshi walked away to the school.
