Chapter 33 - Skeptical

But before Makoto even woke up. It was 2:58 pm. Jacob walked into the town center, and walked downstairs. There was a hallway with a few cells in it. Tyrone was asleep in one of them. Jacob walked up to the cell and banged on ir.

JACOB: Tyrone wake your ass up.

Tyrone woke up.

TYRONE: Huh, Mom?

JACOB: No it's me dumbass.

TYRONE: Jacob!

Jacob pulled a key from his pocket.

JACOB: The mayor gave me the key and told me to break you out when no one was here.

TYRONE: Nice.

Jacob unlocked Tyrone's cell and they both snuck out of there. They ran back to what they call their "crib".

Present Time, it's 5:15 pm. Makoto is getting dressed and someone rings the doorbell. It was Holly, Tsuga opens the door.

TSUGA: Who are you?

HOLLY: I'm sorry, does Makoto Masami live here?

Stuff happened. Suddenly Tsuga yelled.

TSUGA: Makoto! You're not having any secret relationships I don't know about right?

MAKOTO: Holly's here already?

Makoto walked down the stairs.

MAKOTO: She's just a friend Grandma. We have to go do something for a little while. Bye.

Makoto and Holly left. Tsuga was left alone, again.
Makoto and Holly walked to Ms. Duncan's house, which was on the other side of the neighborhood.

HOLLY: Makoto, I'm sorry...

MAKOTO: Stop that.

HOLLY: Stop what?

MAKOTO: Let's stop apologizing to each other. And move on.

Holly laughed.

HOLLY: Makoto! You're -

Then Holly realized.

HOLLY: Makoto! The Sundeen Fest is tomorrow!

They both looked at each other and gasped.

MAKOTO: The 400th Anniversary of Sundeen is tomorrow!

It was 5:17 PM. In a house in the Western part of the Southern neighborhood. There was a woman by the name of Anne Richardson. The killer (Riley Richardson)'s wife. She was cooking. Suddenly, Riley came out of their room.

ANNE: Hey honey.

Riley didn't respond. Then, their 5th grade son, Logan Richardson, walked out of his room.

ANNE: Sweetie, did you eat dinner yet?

Logan didn't respond. From another room, Logan heard his dad calling someone in another room. He was calling the Mayor.

MURPHY: Somehow, it seems you werent revealed to the village.

RILEY: I don't know what happened, but I'm pretty sure at least ten cops saw me, all because of that brat, Makoto Masami. I swear, I'll kill him, and he'll lay right under my feet.

The call ended shortly after. Logan ran to his room. Riley was about to leave the house.

ANNE: Honey, where are you going?

RILEY: .... To deal with something.

Riley left the house. Logan planned to follow him to see where we would go.

LOGAN: Is Dad the Killer?! ..... that can't be true, can it?

It was 5:22 PM.
