Chapter 17 - Illegal Item

Makoto got excited and had several thoughts in his head. Shortly after, Makoto arrived to the park, which was conveniently hundreds of feet from both Sundeen High, and Young Sundeen, the grade school.

Shortly after Makoto's arrival, he looked in a distance, and saw Holly. Makoto ran towards Holly, panting.

MAKOTO: Alright, take me to your house.

Holly looked around, to see if anyone was watching, there was no one else in sight.

HOLLY: Follow me.

Holly and Makoto walked on, to her house.

HOLLY: Makoto, I have a question.

MAKOTO: What is it?

HOLLY: What are you going to do about you and the mayor? I'm pretty sure he doesn't like you. And the only reason why you didn't get arrested yesterday was because of your brother.

MAKOTO: Yeah, and he's the Captain! At 18 years old!

Makoto was trying to impress Holly. A few minutes of walking later. They finally arrived to Holly's house.

MAKOTO: Your house is just down the street and around the corner from mine.

HOLLY: It's a small village.

MAKOTO: Makes you realize that everyone that goes to our school lives here, but how can so many people fit in one village.

Holly laughed as she was opening the front door.

HOLLY: You're funny. Now come in. My parents aren't home.

Holly and Makoto walked into the house. Makoto was both nervous and excited at the same time. Stuff happened, a few minutes later. Holly and Makoto walked upstairs to her room. When Holly got to the door, she was very hesitant to open it. Both Holly's and Makotos faces were bright red.

MAKOTO: Are you okay?

HOLLY: Yeah, of course.

Holly opened her door to her room. Her and Makoto both walked in it. Makoto looked everywhere. Her room had a much different scent than his.

MAKOTO: W-

HOLLY: Gimme a second.

Holly bent down to look under her bed. She blindly searched for the map with her arm. Makoto looked the other way blushing. After a good minute, Holly found the map, and picked it up.

HOLLY: Makoto.

MAKOTO: You found it!

HOLLY: This is an illegal item that I have, but I trust you. So I'll show you, and only you. Now, this may be surprising, and literally jaw droppi-

MAKOTO: Holly, I want to see it. You worked hard to make it. I know that. Maybe, one day, we could use this to rebel against the mayor, and find the killer.

HOLLY: Aw, Makoto.

Holly looked away for a second. Then, she showed Makoto... Holy showed Makoto the Map of Sundeen Village.

Makoto gasped. His eyes widened, jaw dropped. He froze. Right there. The map was so unexpected while expected.

MAKOTO: I- You— H-

HOLLY: Yeah, way different than what you thought, probably.

Makoto found the closest chair, and sat down. Whilst Holly sat down on her bed.

MAKOTO: Holly, can I stay here for a while... I just feel like ever since the school year started, everything has been different.

HOLLY: Yeah, of course you can st-

Suddenly, the front door opened, there was a loud and masculine sounding grunt, then the door slammed. Holly had a shocking look on her face.

MAKOTO: !!, Who's that?

HOLLY: That's my dad! Makoto, you have to hide!
