Chapter 10 - End of the Beginning

The first day of school has ended. Makoto and Joey are walking to Makoto's house.

JOEY: Today was so crazy bro like daam!

MAKOTO: Mhm.

JOEY: And you got in a fight with Dominic bruh, and you were actually even with him!

MAKOTO: Yea, things really did get tough

JOEY: And Holly was watching the whole time. I think she's onto you.

Makoto removed an airpod from his left ear. Joey stared at him with a bruh face.

MAKOTO: I was just talking to Holly about earlier.

JOEY: Oh, I'll make that an exception.

Makoto and Joey arrived to Makoto's house. A 2 story house. No one was there. Joey got in and chilled on the couch. Makoto went to the bathroom.

MAKOTO: What is so important that you had to rush me out the—

JOEY: Its when you were fighting Dominic!

JOEY: I found it on Instgram. The comments are crazy! Let's read them!

MAKOTO: Hm.

About 60 to 80% of the comments were bots saying how they were horny and how they have an onlyfans, etc.

MAKOTO: This is why I don't have Instagram, it's way too toxic. I'll get it when I'm older.

Joey swiped out of instaram and went onto Snapchat.

JOEY: Makoto, we gotta field trip next week.

MAKOTO: Which class?

JOEY: It's going to be with our last period classes.

MAKOTO: Cool.

Joey started daydreaming. Makoto sighed. Hours later, Joey walked to his house. More hours later, Makoto and Holly were talking over the phone about what happened at school earlier that day.

HOLLY: Dominic and his gang were well known in our class. And I think you single handedly ended it. Do you know what that means?

MAKOTO: I changed the school, that's for sure.

HOLLY: We don't know that for sure, but I think you gained more respect, not just by our peers. But by the whole school. Word gets around quickly.

MAKOTO: Holly, what you said before school started on how private schools don't have as much action as public schools. What did you mean by that? You don't actually think that, do you?

HOLLY: Of course I didn't. I just didn't want you to feel underwhelm you.

Holly yawns.

MAKOTO: You're pretty smart, you know that.

The call ended shortly after. Now, that the preliminary part of the story is over. This is when the real initiation begins.
