Chapter 46 - September 3 (Part 6)

10:55 AM - 7 hours and 5 minutes until the Sundeen Fest.

All the citizens were in their homes, no one dared to go outside. They thought they were safe thinking that the mayor and the police will take care of anythi. And everything will be okay.

But that was until every communication system turned to the Emergency Broadcast Screen. The alarm played for five seconds. Then it switched to Makoto's voice.

MAKOTO: Hello, can anybody here me?

Joey ran downstairs outside to check if he could hear Makoto. He could vividly. Makoto spoke loudly and clearly on the speaker.

MAKOTO: Hello everyone, I am Makoto Masami and I attend Sundeen High. Right now, in Sundeen. A war is happening, and that's because of Mayor, Murphy Bristol. You guys may think that he is trying to save Sundeen right now...

Almost everyone stopped what they were doing and listened.

MAKOTO: ...but he's actually working with the Killer, Riley Richardson. He doesn't care about you guys. He's all about the fame and money.

Murphy heard all of this.

MAKOTO: It doesn't matter to him whether you sll survive or not. He just wants popularity, attention. Please, if you hear this. Help us fight for our country. It's not too late. If you still don't believe me. We intercepted a meeting between Murphy and Riley.

Makoto played the conversation between Murphy and Riley from Chapter 39. When the conversation ended. Everyone was silent, surprised.

OFFICER: W/ what the, that's not true.... Right?

RESIDENT: The mayor is a bad person...??

SOLDIER: .... Finally.

The soldiers and the officers stopped fighting. They now realized they had the same goal the whole time, but in different ways. Save Sundeen.

The officers rushed back to the Town Center. They ran through every hall way, searched every room.

OFFICER: Where is the Mayor? Find the Mayor!

Officer Mike was there at the time. He was just walking out too.

MIKE: ......

So many things were happening at the same time.

MURPHY: I'M GONNA KILL THAT KID! I DON'T CARE IF HE'S YOSHI'S LITTLE BROTHER! I DON'T CARE IF RILEY WANTS HIM FOR HIMSELF! HIS HEAD WILL BE UNDER MY FOOT!

RILEY: It looks like he's done it.

Riley laughed to himself.

LOGAN: Was that Him??

DOMINIC: ....

KISHI: hahahaHAHAHA! You don't mess with the Masami Family, Murphy!

All the citizens ran out their houses, panicking, screaming. Trying to find their way out. The police tried to calm them down, but they couldn't.

MIKE: Everyone, you guys will be safe. We have this under control.

Suddenly, he saw Scarlette from a distance. They locked eyes. He walked up to her.

MIKR: Scarlette...

Scarlette looked away.

MIKE: Scarlette I-

SCARLETTE: NO!

Scarlette ran away. Mike was left to stand there.

Back at the Library. The main four ran and hid. Thinking people would know where they are.

JOEY: Ayoo, guys, somehow I don't feel like we're losing.

HOLLY: Right now all we can do is rely on what the citizens do.

MAKOTO: Guys did I mess up I kinda think I messed up. I shouldve been like "What will you do, citizens of Sundeen?" or like "Murphy, we're coming for you."

HOLLY: I think you did perfect.

JOEY: Yeah.
