"Why is everyone in this manor always so goddamn pissy?!"

I crossed my arms as Finny and Mey Rin looked over at me. I had been sent out of the house since morning since Ceil was in a bad mood and, for whatever reason, being around me made him feel even worse. Therefore, I was unrighteously banished outside to clean up the frozen over manor with the other servants, minus Bard.

Finny stopped his raking and sighed. "It's a trying time right now, Alexandra."

Picking up some more dead leaves, I continued on in my rant. "Just because Ceil doesn't like his birthday, that means I have to spend hours outside with you two freezing my ass off? Newsflash, Phantomhive! You don't like your birthday, tough shit, drink a bottle and pretend to forget you're alive like the rest of us."

Mey Rin regarded me with almost worry as Finny waved me away. "Alexandra, his birthday is when his parents died."

"And my birthday is when my brothers wrapped me in royal chains, beat me bloody, and threw me into our lake so our servants could fish me out the next day." I threw the leaves I had gathered into the bucket and rolled my eyes. "Tough shit."

Mey Rin sighed, depositing her leaves into the bucket. "You're just mad that Mr. Sebastian yelled at you this morning."

I groaned. "Don't get me stared on him! That fucker doesn't just have a stick up his ass, he has the whole goddamn tree!"

Finny made some comment about how I don't exactly help Sebastian's worsening mood but I knew why the butler was so ticked. Ceil's birthday also marked another year of starvation for the butler, he didn't want anyone making a spectacle so he could try and put the humiliation out of his mind. That meant he was in an even worse mood than he usually was and couldn't even stand the sight of me, much less stand to be in my presence.

"Plus it's colder than a bitch out here!" I shuddered, throwing myself onto the cold, hard ground. Then my day went from bad to worse. "What's that sound?"

My head snapped in the direction of the road and I just about screamed as I sensed who was coming before the servants did.

"IS THAT LADY ELIZABETH?!" Mey Rin and Finny screamed in unison as I went back to laying on the ground.

Mey Rin took off to go tell the butler of our impromptu guest which I had no doubt was going to send him up a wall. Finny meanwhile took our tools to put away which left me with the job no one wants. I had to go greet her.

"Alexandra!" She was waving half way out the side of the carriage as I approached the main entrance, thinking of all the better things I could be doing than this.

I regarded her kindly enough as the carriage came to a stop. Merely opening the door for her and stepping to the side as she burst out.

"We didn't know you were coming." I sighed as I watched the driver bring down her suitcase.

"I had to come for Ceil's birthday! I have the perfect present!" She squealed as I merely blinked back.

"Birthdays are a big deal, it seems." I marched up the stairs, knowing Ceil would never forgive me for letting her in. Then again, there was a lot I've done that I wouldn't be forgiven for. "Elizabeth!"

I had the door cracked open an inch and, unfortunately for Ceil, he happened to be passing by the main entrance. Lizzie caught a glimpse and ran past me, tackling the poor brat and making a spectacle before I could process what to do.

"Not surprised you're attached to this." Sebastian huffed at me as I went to stand next to him.

I sucked in a breath. "Meanwhile I'm surprised that stick up your ass hasn't taken root yet, how long has it be there now? Forty million years?"
