"Can you track him?" Ceil yelled to ask me as he, Sebastian, and the newly awoken Lau rushed to get ready to go.
I rolled my eyes. "Yes, Phantomhive, I can still track him. I'm all-"
"Powerful. We know." Ceil finished for me as I pouted. "No matter, let's go."
I sighed deeply as I looked longingly to the fire. I hated so much having to run around in the snow and all I wanted was to dive into some comfy sheets but life had other plans for me today. I was still freezing from trailing the two idiots, now I had to go out after just the one.
"Let me go with you!"
I looked over at the door but Ceil was already shaking his head. Soma was at the entrance of the room, looking noticeably more adult than he did before.
"Look, I know Agni has been sneaking out but I always loose him while he's walking." Soma oddly looked at me in the eyes. "Please, I have a right to know as well."
I called over my shoulder. "Phantomhive. Your call."
Before I knew it, Soma was added along to our team and off we went. I remembered the path Agni took when I sensed him earlier and his soul was constantly working as a beacon so I wasn't too worried we were gonna miss him.
I was at the front of our pack, essentially working as an unfed bloodhound. Some ways behind me was the rest of the group, Ceil annoyingly being left to listen to Soma's prattling on, but Sebastian stayed right next to me.
"What do you want?" I said pointedly, still annoyed about earlier.
Sebastian sighed deeply. "Are you mad at me for the kiss or for making you go out in the cold?"
"TRY BOTH." I snapped at him, glaring as he looked over at me.
"You merely deserved getting sent outside for tricking the servants." Suddenly, he looked as if he was scrambling for an idea. "As for the kiss, I was making sure our cover story isn't being blown which is why I'm up here with you. I have to look like a doting lover don't I?"
I huffed. "Don't do too good of a job, sometimes I feel like you're smothering me Michaelis. Believe it or not, outside of this deal I am your queen."
He laughed. "I may be a demon, but you know you're not my queen."
My eye twitched as I knew he was technically right but I was still pissed no matter. Sebastian constantly felt up my ass and it was beginning to drive me crazy. I wasn't used to this constant coddling back at my kingdom and I didn't very much appreciate it here coming from him.
"It's too cold to deal with you." I turned from him, still following Agni's soul.
"You're shaking like a leaf." He sighed, dragging me to his side and wrapping a tight arm around my waist. "Walk like this."
"NO I WILL NOT!"
Ceil had to loudly shout for us to stop our fighting multiple times as I tried frantically to push away from a persistent Sebastian. Finally, we pulled away from each other long enough for Sebastian to frantically whisper to me that we had to do something considering everyone was looking at us like we were crazy.
That left me to holding Sebastian's hand as we walked with a snickering Ceil trailing behind. He wasn't laughing for long however as I picked up the pace, effectively dragging Sebastian behind me and leaving the humans to scramble after me.
We kept that pace, Soma somehow still being able to prattle on about nothing while heaving breath trying to catch up. I thought Ceil was about to pop when I finally came to a stop in front of a large manor.
