The Long Lost Mafia Princess

Chapter 44

We arrived in the dining room where Elijah placed me on my chair at the dining table.

I looked around and saw the rest already sitting there, smiling at us.

"Thanks Lijah" I said when he put me down.

He just ruffled my hair while saying "no problem,  sorella"

(Sorella-sister)

"I see you guys made up" Lorenzo stated.

We both nodded smiling.

After a few minutes of talking, the maids came with plates of food.

I got a different plate with just a little bit.

My heart was beating extremely fast and my hands shook as I picked up my fork.

I looked at the others to see them looking at me.

We were eating steak with some fries

With my shaky hands I picked up a piece of steak but stared at it for a little while.

I can't do this, tears filed my eyes looking at it.

I looked at the others, who were pleading and encouraging me at the same time to eat just a little.

I turned back to my food and felt a hand rubbing my back gently.

Xander kept rubbing my back trying to calm me down.

I took a deep shaky breath.

"You can do it, believe in yourself bambima. Just try." He tried to convince me.

I looked at him with a tear falling down my cheek.

He wiped it away, "it's okay"

I looked back at my food and took another shaky breath, before eating the piece of steak on my fork.

"Good job bambima. Well done, I'm proud of you." Xander said still rubbing my back.

Everyone gave me smiles and praises which helped and made me happy, but I couldn't help but feel guilty.

I don't deserve this food.

I'm too fat to eat even more.

The portion was the size that I would have to eat for now at least.

I swallowed the food, while the rest started eating their dinner too.

More tears fell during my meal but I ignored them and kept eating my plate with still shaky hands.

I feel disgusted with myself. 

I finally finished my food and looked up again, the others were done too right now.

I feel like throwing up.

Dad got up from his chair, seeing my empty plate.

He walked over to me and when he arrived, he crouched down.

He wiped my tears from my cheek and smiled proudly at me.

"Well done principessa, I knew you could do it. I'm so proud of you honey, I love you principessa" He said gently.

He than picked me up and walked to the living room with the others.

The last season of lucifer came on Netflix so we decided to binge watch some of the episodes today and continue tomorrow with the rest.

"Goodnight" I said as everyone went upstairs.

Goodnight's and sleep well's were heard from everyone as I gave each person a hug before walking upstairs.
