My heart beats loudly in my head as I draw the line.

I promised Roman I would try not to but Roman isn't here anymore.

Roman doesn't love me

Roman doesn't even like me.

The glass punctures my skin as it tears open.

The pain stops but only for a second.

It's not enough so I do it again but just a little deeper and longer.

When the pain comes back I don't want it so I do it again.

And again

And again as the blood runs down my arms, on the ground.

Again

Again

Again

And

Again

I only stop when I feel totally numb and the pain is gone.

I smile and drop the glass.

My wrists keep bleeding but the pain is gone.

I feel light headed but the pain is gone.

I let myself bleed for a few more minutes until I know I have to clean this shit back up and go back to class before they send someone here and my family finds out about this.

They have enough going on in their lives, they don't need me on top of all that.

I stand up and quickly grab hold of the sink when I feel my legs start to give out a little.

Come on Val, you've been through worse this is good, the pain is gone.

I wash the blood off and press some paper towels on the still bleeding wounds.

I pull my hoodie down again, making it cover the wounds and paper towels.

I still feel a little extasy run through my body, definitely when I press a little on my arm or even just move it.

I wash all the blood away from in the sink and on the floor before I leave the bathroom.

Making it look like I was never there in the first place.

Well except for the fact that there is a broken mirror.

I also wipe away the security footage from in the hallway where you can see me go in and out of the bathroom.

I walk to my next class which is math with my backpack tightly wrapped on my back.

I'm back home when realization begins to sink in.

I cut again, I cut again after around a year of being clean.

I sit on my bed when I roll my sleeve back up.

I remove the paper towels to see the damage.
