The clonking noise of a corroded metal bucket interrupted the magical ambience of the asgardian flora and fauna. People rarely visited this place, yet [Name] couldn't ever mind such a peaceful state of loneliness.

Most of the time, she wouldn't even consider it her work, her source of income. Being alone in Asgard's gardens was a genuine pleasure in her eyes, sometimes a desire even.

Yet every once in a while, her heart felt simply overjoyed when a certain person showed up.

She settled down by a bush's side, allowing her eyelids to get heavy and rest. The warm sunlight easily made its way to her features, warming and tickling her face, when all of a sudden someone settled down by her side.

"Taking a break, are we?"

She hummed in response, eyes still closed. "You didn't announce yourself, Loki."

"Rude. I don't need to announce myself when visiting the gardens", he answered, yet the smile that lit up his face was clearly to be heard.

A chuckle escaped her lips as she let her pupils meet the sunlight again, her glance now observing the features of the prince by her side.

For a moment, nothing but the chirping of birds was to be heard.

"Why'd you decided to visit here this day?" she asked curiously.

"Why shouldn't I?" he countered, when in truth he felt his face get warm. The way she wasn't breaking eye contact, as if she'd read his thoughts made him uncomfortable in a sense he rarely experienced.

The silence still wasn't to be broken, and when she slightly raised her voice after all, Loki felt startled in a sense.

"You're unwell."

It was matter of fact, a remark, not a question.

Loki's foremost intention was to deny her words. "You're wrong."

"Your eyes tell otherwise."

Said blue crystals wandered across her face, scanning it for something, anything, yet he could only wonder how she had managed to interprete his emotions so precisely when he hadn't lost a word about those.

"Hey", she softly spoke after a moment. "My intention wasn't to make you uncomfortable. No need to tell anything, I simply care for you."

The prince gently traced his right thumb across the palm of his left hand, thinking.

"I'll hold that dear, [Name]."

Dreamily, she let her fingers glide across the soft blades of grass by their sides, plucking a daisy and twirling it in between her thumb and forefinger before handing it to Loki who had been admiring her features quietly while she'd been distracted.

"For me?"

[Name] nodded in response. A sheepish smile smeared his lips, a similar one soon appearing on hers too.

She heard him inhale deeply before speaking again. "I might have something in return for you", he uttered.

"Can you close your eyes?"

Straightening up, she obeyed.

For a moment, the only thing audible was his tremulous breath.

Then, she felt the soft tip of his thumb trace along her jaw. It lifted her chin slightly, and she could've been swearing she nearly felt his lips brush hers when he broke the silence.

"May I...?"

His lips must've been so close to hers, she could feel his words on them. Goosebumps started to spread across her skin.

"You may", she breathed before feeling him eventually closing the space that had lasted between their bodies until their lips had settled onto each other's.
