this story is getting so long and it's not even halfway done-

Senjuro pov

i stared at the dim, sunset orange-ish light gleamed behind the hashiras. their shadows casted tall, slim figures that reached barely a few ten meters from me.

the others continued to stare at me, some filled to the brim with uncertainty, some with pity, others with concern or just straight up all those feelings mixed together in a pot, or rather their eyes.

"i shall leave you all to talk to your comrade," Oyakata-sama told the others with his iconic smile before taking his leave.

i would have tilted my head slightly in curiosity had a collar not been strapped tightly around my neck.

they all nodded and stood up slowly, as if not to alarm me.

what happened? have i became a zoo animal? eeeeh? what kind of punishment for failed arson is this?! Oyakata-sama please forgive me!!

although they all stood up, Tanjiro was the first to approach me.

"look, Senjuro, i don't know if you remember me, well, us, but let's just reintroduce ourselves," Tanjiro softly said.

i glared at him with narrowed eyes and a confused expression.

"i have no idea how long i've been out for, or what the fuck is going on but, well WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" i lost my usual calm and just blurted out my confusion.

the other hashira's looked taken aback.

"uhm... basically when Genya was heading back and since he was the pretty much the last to leave, he saw you near the entrance against the wall. your arm was covered in blood and he carried you back. after you were in the butterfly mansion, Aoi did some vital checkups and found some traces of demon blood," Zenitsu spoke up first and gave me a summed up explanation. he looked relieved, but still a slight worry was present in this expression.

Kanao quickly chipped in and continued the explanation. "Oyakata-sama decided to restrain you in case you went wild. you ended up in a coma for a few weeks and looks like you just woke up." Kanao, on the other hand, expressed her happiness in her little emotionless ways. it was easy to tell since i've known her for quite some time; her eyes tend to light up slightly to express her contentment, visible white sparkles shining in her dull eyes.

my eyebrows furrowed.

"strange, i still feel quite human and don't crave any human flesh or blood..." i stated blankly, staring at my hands.

they looked at me, clearly more puzzled than i was.

"how can we even trust you? for all we know you could still be a demon!" Inosuke growled, walking towards me with unsheathed swords. Tanjiro and Zenitsu began shouting at him to calm down, while Kanao and Genya stood in place, unsure of what to do in the situation.

Aoi sighed and held up her arm, fingers tightly pressed against one another. in one quick swoop, Inosuke was out on the floor.

"stupid idiot..." she muttered, rubbing her hand as we stared blankly at her. "sorry, Rengoku-san, but maybe i could run more tests and see what's going on."

"i think it's better we keep him restrained for now, for safety measures," Tanjiro stated his genuine opinion.

"i agree," Zenitsu added.

"what?! but he clearly isn't even a demon! if he fully was his eyes would be different!" Genya debated.

"hm, well what about you Kanao? what do you think?" Tanjiro asked, obviously hinting to the oblivious Kanao that he wanted her to take his side.
