Uzui pov
i awoke to a blinding, bright white light. i to rub my eyes continuously, trying to adjust to the brightness but to failing. no, wait... this isn't a light. everything's just heavenly white in colour.
i take try recount what had last happened, my hand reaching to touch my head, realising it's was oozing with a scarlet red liquid. i instantly had flashbacks.
i was an uppermoon.
weak demon.
hashiras.
decapitated.
wives...
Sumi...
Hana...
Makio...
please forgive me.
you all didn't deserve to die.
i turn my head around and catch a glimpse of three feminine silhouettes and instinctively walk towards them. i don't believe it's them, i don't deserve to be with them. but my body just wouldn't listen.
as soon as i got within a good few meters from them, they turned around. the air was filled with shock and tension.
"Suma? Makio? Hana? is that-" i obliviously questioned, but got interrupted as three women hugged me.
"thank god you're here with us!!" Suma cried between sobs.
Makio continued berating him for dying, not at all caring that he would have been an uppermoon.
"i knew you would get into heaven," Hana smiled at me with tears in the corners of her eyes.
"a-are you not all mad about me being an uppermoon?" i stuttered.
"of course not you moron!" Makio huffed, "that wasn't your fault, it was Muzan's and i'm sure he'll be served his death soon anyway!" the other two nodding in agreement.
my eyes widened in surprise of their forgiveness, tears welling up as well. i smiled at them and they led me towards a house in the middle of the beautiful flowering trees.
"i'm still so relieved that you returned to us," Suma sighed in a sulky tone.
"tsk, stop trying to suck up to him!" Makio jealously yelled, earning a shriek from Suma as she was chased after by the former.
Hana worriedly stared at them, but clearly mentally facepalmed, not knowing how to feel as she continued to cling onto my kimono.
they sure haven't changed one bit, huh?
