"What's our next move?" Nick asked me. Wait... So now I was the captain of the team? OH COME ON! I didn't want to be the captain! I'm a horrible leader. Ms. Bee saw my "Don't ask me" face and took over the situation. "Ok. So, we have to find out of Taton is ok. Now, this could be a tiny, little, difficultly. None of us have a clue about where Taton is." Nick's face was dumbfounded.
"This can't be possible. How will we ever find him? This is a disaster!" I screamed. How were we ever going to save the world when we have no info?
"Wait... What about our first mission? The one where we we're going to get the special that lives here, in France," Mr. Snooks reminded.
"Oh yeah," Ms. Bee sighed.
"Well then, let's go find her," Nick said. "Or... Him," He muttered.
Why did he say him in such a mean way? What was wrong with having a boy special by my side? Oh well... It wasn't a big deal. We made a plan. We had to get the other special by tonight, which might be a little bit hard. Finding one person in the millions of people in Paris is pretty hard. Anyways, after that, we would rest the night. Then the next day we would go find Taton. Hopefully we find him before it's too late. Hopefully Tornado isn't forming a huge army that he made drink the potion thing he made. Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully. I needed to make those hopefully's into he didn't. We started to walk along the streets in search of the other special. After hours of searching, we gave up.
I asked if there was any other way to find him. Could Mr. Snooks call to him through his mind like he did to me? I asked him the question. "No, you have to actually know the special for at least three days. Then, you can speak to them through their minds. It's basic telepathy rules," Mr. Snooks answered. Since when did telepathy have rules? I couldn't really prove him wrong though. I know nothing of telepathy. Now, I wish I did. I highly doubt there are rules. Even if you break the rules, then you wouldn't get punished, right? Oh, who am I kidding. I have to find out another way.
We all walked down the street, this time not talking to each other. We were all trying to think of solutions. I tripped and fell. My tracker fell out of my pocket. Nick helped me up. I thanked him and he picked up the tracker. "Wait... I could modify the tracker so that we could see the pin point location of the France Special," he commented. I told him I already tried that. "Did you switch up the wires?" He asked. I shook my head. "That's why it didn't work. You have to switch the wire if you want it to work," Nick explained. I nodded. Nick changed up all the wires, then chose the options. The tracker blanked out for about 45 seconds, then turned back on. There, on the screen, was the exact location of the France Special. He was at... OMG! Le tour Eiffel! The Eiffel Tower!
AWESOME! I've always wanted to go there. I ran into towards the Eiffel Tower. Yes, I was running to it. People say the best way to get around Paris is to walk. Nick and my mentors came running after me, trying to catch up. I was actually using my powers to help me speed up. Suddenly, I heard a moan. I looked around to see that Ms. Bee was on the ground. I hurriedly ran back. "What?" I started to say until I realized what had happened Ms. Bee was too tired to carry Lulu. "I'll do it," I volunteered. I picked Lulu up. I felt like a heavy weight was put on my back. No wonder Ms. Bee fell. Mr. Snooks helped Ms. Bee up and we started to walk to le tour Eiffel.
"It's so huge," I stated. The Eiffel Tower was made for the World's Fair. Originally, they were going to destroy it. Though when they voted, the keep it votes won. So, they kept it. Now, it is so famous. It's so amazing how things start out so small and become so big. I went underneath the huge tower and looked around. There's still nothing there! I grunted, and then did my embarrassed face. Nick laughed a little. My mentors smiled. I narrowed my eyes. I know it was bad, but was it that bad?
"Let's separate so we can cover more of the Eiffel Tower in less time," Mr. Snooks suggested. We agreed, and spilt up. I went looking. Maybe he or she was in the tower? I went to the ticket line. Though I didn't have any money what so ever... How am I ever supposed to check? I could just fly up there, but I would be seen. Oh well, I just had to hope he wasn't inside the tower.
I wandered around looking for any boy that I sensed was a special. Suddenly, I saw a boy sitting on a bench. He had blonde hair, and was smiling and enjoying the day. A sensation came through my body. That was him. He was... THE FRANCE SPECIAL.
I hurried over to him. I didn't want him to go away, or else we'll have to find him again. I sat on the bench with him. "So, nice day. What's your name? My name is Claire," I started. The boy looked at me, confused. Maybe he was creeped out a random girl was talking to him. I had to make sure he could trust me. A put my hand out for a shake. He hesitated, but he shook my hand. "My name is Sebastien. Do you go to school here? I go to this school. It's a nice school, until it started to get a bit... Anyways," The France Special, Sebastien, replied.
Ok, good start. I'm also pretty sure he's the other special now because he said school was going a bit, and I think he wanted to say weird after that. Even for me school had gotten weird, then I found out all the special stuff. So if the same thing was happening to him, he must be last special we need to find. "I want you to trust me. Yes, it's weird, just seeing a random girl and her dragging you somewhere, but just listen. You're a special. I think you would have trusted me more if the mentors went through the whole process with you, but we don't have time, so I know you'll have second thoughts. Just trust me, and let me take you where you need to go," I said calmly.
The boy had wide eyes. Ya, he was totally confused. Ok, I didn't have time for this. I grabbed Sebastien's hand and pulled him over to where Ms. Bee had decided to search. "Ms. Bee!" I shouted. Ms. Bee walked over and saw who I had with me. She did a happy dance. Sebastien started to pull away from me, but my grip was firm. There was no way I was going on another mission to find him, AGAIN.
"I'll call the others," Ms. Bee informed. Ms. Bee closed her eyes. I guess she communicated to Mr. Snooks and Nick through her mind. After five minutes, they showed up. Nick stared at Sebastien with a disgusted look. He really was trying to run away. Even my grip was starting to loosen. I couldn't hold it any longer. As soon as I knew it, Sebastien escaped my hand's grip and ran off. I ran after him, using the wind as a speed boost. I caught up with him and grabbed him.
"Look, I know you're really getting creeped out right now. Questions are in your mind. They'll be answered as soon as possible. You just have to wait and trust us. Oh, and I don't know why Nick was staring at you in that way... I guess he's just surprised or something. Just come along with us, and you'll be safe. You know why all that weird stuff is happening at your school? It's because you're a special. I'll explain later, just come with me. Please," I pleaded. The boy looked at me and paused.
This time, I wasn't going to grab his hand and pull him. I was just going to wait and let him choose if he wants to follow me or not. I started to walk away when a heard footsteps behind me. "So, where are we going?" Sebastien asked. I smiled and ran off, the France Special running behind me, trying to catch up.
