Mini Story- WTWC (Part 5)

Author's Note: Sorry I haven't updated in a while! I've just been busy as school has started! Anyway, to the chapter-

The girls found themselves in rolling hills, the sun shining above them. A shack was seen in the distance.

"My home," Sakura announced to the other three. They nodded.

"Well, we know old villains are coming back, so who was the villain you defeated, Sakura?" Claire asked. Sakura gulped as the realization hit her.

"Like the evil King, I fought an evil queen," Sakura replied. The others nodded. Suddenly, a rustling noise came from the bushes down the hill. The group got into fighting stance, and out came a wolf, with fur as black as coal. The wolf stared at Sakura, and the girls knew that they weren't under attack. They lowered their weapons.

Sakura got down onto the ground, shifting into her fox. The wolf and fox stared at each other with emotions in their eyes the others couldn't understand. The two observed each other before shifting back.

"Sakura," The girl whispered. She looked very similar to Sakura, but they had their differences. 

"Nayru," Sakura continued. They both walked towards each other, and hugged each other tightly.

"I missed you," They both told each other. "Jinx," They both said again, laughing lightly. Another voice was heard in the distance.

"You called?" A person said. The person got close and grinned. The two twins face palmed. Jinx always did this, but they weren't annoyed by it.

Another voice was heard. "You were having a party without us!" One of them exclaimed. In the distance, the shadows of 5 people approached Nayru, Sakura, and Jinx.

"Edwin! Solem! Lynn! Suzan! Sapphire!" Sakura exclaimed.

"She has more friends than any of us," Claire mumbled in the background, and the other two chuckled in agreement.

"Sakura, we were worried sick!" Suzan shouted. The shapeshifter got bombarded with questions.

"Where were you big sis?" Sapphire, her younger sister, asked.

"Everyone searched everywhere!" Lynn continued.

"What happened?" Edwin asked.

"Are you alright?" Solem asked.

"Calm down everyone! There's no time to discuss anything right now. Have any of you gone to the center region?" Sakura exclaimed. They shook their heads. Nayru had just come back from her journey to the lands beyond, and the others had stayed together in the hills region near the shack.

Sakura's overjoyed expression turned to a worried face. She looked over to her new friends, and they nodded. The three got their weapons all ready.

"But what happened Sakura?" Solem asked. He was one of the oldest of the people, and had known the twins for the longest.

"To explain everything in short, all evil people are coming back alive. My new friends and I," Sakura explained, pointing to the other three, "are traveling through the worlds to kill these villains."

The others were shocked by hearing Sakura's explanation. They hadn't even noticed the other three people in distraction of getting to see Sakura who had mysteriously disappeared. They did understand, however, that this was a major problem. They had faced the queen once, and they didn't want to face her again.

Sakura's friends nodded. The eleven started preparing. They got little backpacks for each of them from the shack, grabbing food, water, and first aid items.

They all had traveled for about four hours. Each region they passed, nobody could be seen. It was empty, and the only sound heard was the sound of the wind and of leaves falling to the ground. Seeing this worried them, making them go faster. They were only 15 minutes away from reaching the central region. They saw the shadow of the huge city.

The group had morphed into cheetahs. Mariana somehow had morphed into a bird. Claire was flying in the air, and and Izzy was sitting on top of Cheetah Sakura. Even with that, it still had taken them a long time. They had only taken one stop for drinks and food, just to freshen up.

"We're so close!" Sakura huffed in exhaustion. The group kept going though, not stopping. Their land was in trouble, and they would do anything to save it. For Claire, Izzy, and Mariana, this wasn't their home but they still cared about innocent lives.

The group finally reached the border of the central region. Sakura was shocked to see what had happened. Everyone had white eyes just like the people in the Mariana's world. All the people were sweating, and had dirty, torn clothes on. They had bruises all over them. Some people were in more clean,white clothing, and they held whips in their hands.

Sakura looked over to see that a little girl had stopped working, and a person in white clothing came over and whipped her. The girl quickly went back to work. Sakura heard through her enhanced hearing, "I am sorry. I know I am not as useful to the great Queen as others are. I shall keep trying my best. If I cannot do this, I am ready to face death. Anything shall be done for the Queen."

Sakura fell to the ground on her knees. "Our kingdom..." Sakura mumbled. The shapeshifter buried her face in her hands. Tears rolled down her face, dropping to the ground. Sakura felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to see Izzy looking at her. The demigod's face held anger.

"No use mourning now. We have to destroy the stone and villain," Claire said. Mariana came over, handing Sakura a napkin to wipe her eyes. Sakura nodded. She wiped her tears, getting up off the ground.

She looked over to where her old friends were and found them to not be there anymore. Sakura's knitted her eyebrows together in confusion. The four felt a strange feeling develop in their stomachs.

"We better hurry," Izzy commented. The others nodded. They looked over to see Mariana taking something out her eyes.  The others stared at her with curiosity as the item fell into her hand.

"Contact lenses?" The others questioned. Mariana rolled her eyes and nodded. She then took out different liquids from her backpack. She held them up.

"I didn't tell any of you guys this,  but Gazelda gave me these in case I needed a disguise. I can change the lenses to any color I want and then my eyes would become that color. It even covers up my pupil, but I can still see," Mariana explained, dripping some white liquid into the lenses.

The bird girl then put the lenses into her eyes,making her eyes go full white. The group was amazed. "So," Mariana continued, taking the lenses out, "One of us will go in with the disguise. Of course, we may have to edit your clothing and look so you appear more like the people working here."

The others were hesitant for a moment until Izzy exclaimed, "I'll do it!" Sakura shook her head. "It's my kingdom, I'll do it." Claire and Mariana stayed out of their argument, as both were afraid that they would mess up somehow. They were all pressured, but Sakura and Izzy choose not to think about it as much as Claire and Mariana.

In the end, Izzy won. She grinned, signaling Mariana to give her the lenses. She put them in, and then the girls came over. They tossed dirt on her face, making some light scratch marks. Claire carefully put drops of water on her, making it seem like she was sweating. Izzy made some rips on her shirt and pants.

The others nodded. "We'll be hiding right here in case you need us," Sakura informed.

Izzy smiled, "Don't worry, I got this!" The other three rolled their eyes as Izzy marched off into the land of white eyes.

The other three immediately heard monotone voices very close to them. Before they could react and pull out their weapons, a cloth was put over their mouth. All their muscles weakened,making them slid to the ground. Through blurry vision, the three noticed Sakura's friends.

"You must undergo the ceremony," They said in their robotic voices.

"N-no, you're my friends!" Sakura yelled. Looking to see the other two's eyes closed, her own body seemed to give up. "Don't do this," She whispered. A single tear rolled down her cheek as her eye finally closed.
