We kept looking around the city. I kept getting distracted! Smelling all that delicious, good, food... Seeing all those lovely shops. One time, I started to stare at this one shop so long, that Ms. Bee whispered, "You know we are on a mission here?" I nodded. Ms. Bee grinned. I sighed.

Then, I saw someone I thought looked vaguely familiar. I shook my head. Why would I know someone from Paris? I kept walking along with my mentors. We were all in disguises, so Tornado wouldn't recognize us. He would try to hurt us if he did realize we were us. I was wearing a black hair wig, blue sunglasses, and a huge hat. The head and eyes are the things people remember when they see you. The rest of my clothes were normal.

Mr. Snooks was wearing a baseball cap, black sunglasses, and a white wig. He looked kind of funny. Ms. Bee went all out with the disguise thing though. She was wearing a rainbow wig, huge pink sunglasses, a beret, and she wanted to be extra sure that no one would recognize her, so she was wearing make up. She had bright blue eyeliner, rose red lipstick that made her lips look huge, and lots of mascara. I don't like make up, so I immediately said no when my teacher said to have some make up on. We kept walking, and I got tired. That special was nowhere to be seen!

Then something popped in my head. "Can't we modify the tracker? I could make it so we would know the exact location..." I said. "I don't think so, but you could try," Mr. Snooks told and handed me the tracker. I opened the back and looked at the wires. I remember taking a robotics class in sixth grade. Ok... Let's see here.

(NOTE: I made this up, none of this is true. So all the reprogramming stuff, please don't try it.)

I remember to reprogram something, you had to take out the main wire and entwine it with whichever wire is red. I found out that the green wire was the main one, and tied it to the red wire. I looked back at the tracker screen. It had the reprogramming screen on. It had many options.
REPROGRAMMING-
1. Track only specials
2. Track only mentors
3. Track both
Choose: Relative location, exact location

"There is a option but if you did it then the tracker would explode. We would be left with nothing as a resource then." Ms. Bee said. She was right. Though this was our chance to find the other special as quick as we could. We didn't want Tornado to get to her first. "I have to do it. I can't risk Tornado reaching there first," I told. Mr. Snooks agreed, but was hesitant. "Do it," He ordered. I chose the track both option, and the exact location option. A few sparks came out of the tracker but it calmed down. I looked at it to see huge, red, letter saying error. I sighed. It won't work. Suddenly, the error screen disappeared, and a message appeared. I stared at it. This was a tracker! You can't send messages with it! Oh, well... This wasn't the time to try to figure out how someone did that. I looked at the message.

HEY! Please read the whole message, ok? This is Nick. So, I'm with Tornado, and we are searching for the special. I showed him the tracker, but before I did, I made a setting so it only shows the country. Soon enough though, Tornado will find out that you can find the city too. He might hurt me, and I might never see you guys again. Look, I don't want you to remember me as Nick the Traitor, but Nick the Friend. I had to join Tornado's side because I wanted to find out his plans. Sure enough, after he started to trust me, I did. He's building this whole separate academy just for the specials, and he's making this drink. The drink can control the mind of any person that drinks it. He's going to control the specials. He's going to take over this world. I think that he used the drink on Lulu. I'm not sure... He said that he was making the drink, maybe he already did. Look, just watch out, ok? Don't get hurt. Bye... Please don't come looking after me to save me. Please, Claire. Trust me, I'll be fine.- Nick, your friend

I started to cry. I showed my mentors the note, and they looked depressed. "I knew that he would never betray us just like that. He's a good person," whispered Ms. Bee. I smiled. Nick never had been bad. He wasn't a traitor at all. He was a courageous boy who risked his life to warn and save his friends. Wait... Why am I saying was? He is! Nick is going to live! He is not going to die. I am not going to let that happen. I had to figure out where he was.

I looked at the tracker. "Can you track Nick on this thing?" I asked Mr. Snooks. He shook his head. Then, an idea popped in my head. What if Nick became a mentor? We would be able to track him. I asked Ms. Bee if she could make Nick a mentor. "Claire, a mentor has to have a superpower. We can't just say 'Nick is now a mentor'! We have to go through a whole process, and the process might take more time than usual because Nick doesn't have a superpower," Ms. Bee replied.

"Can... Specials transfer their powers?" I asked. "Yes, and don't you dare try to transfer your powers to Nick. Transferring damages you, and sometimes kill you. We can't risk it. You know, that is actually why monsters are chasing you. They'll capture you, force you to transfer your powers to them, and then they'll kill you since you are now of no use," Ms. Bee answered. My mouth flew open. I didn't want to transfer my powers to a monster! I don't care if I get killed because of over use though. I had to transfer, or else Nick will die.

A faint glow came from the sky, and I looked up to see Taton, High Mentor, there in front of me, floating in the sky. "Claire, I can see what you are doing here. You want to transfer your powers to Nick so you can rescue him. Look, Claire, try to understand. You can't die!" I looked straight into his eyes and threatened, "Well then, either you make Nick a mentor, or I will transfer my powers, maybe die, and make him a mentor myself." Taton hesitated. He couldn't let Claire die just like that. He was High Mentor, he had to take a wise decision. He knew that Claire wouldn't listen to him. So, he decided to make Nick a mentor. He raised his hand, making a fist, and dust flew around his hand. Then, when he opened his hand, there was a photo of Nick in a book. The title for the page was, "Mentors Today". "He's now a mentor," Taton ensured. I smiled, said thanks, and High Mentor disappeared.

I immediately looked back at the tracker and saw that Nick was moving rapidly towards Paris. He will be here soon. "Let's just wait until he reaches here. Luckily Tornado didn't hurt Nick," I announced. Ms. Bee smiled widely, and pointed at a French bakery across the street. She grabbed my hand and we entered the bakery. The amazing smell of French food entered my nose. Maybe, I should come back to Paris and actually come here to visit, and not to fight for the other special.
