The Specials [COMPLETED] (under editing)

Realization

Author's Note: Ok, this is the last chapter of the book! Though I have decided to make a Special 2, with new bad guys and things. I might have an extra chapter for the preview of the book.

After I had told them all about what had happened, my mentors stared at each other. Sebastien was clueless, I mean he recently became a special. Ms. Bee looked at me and touched my clothes. It felt awkward. "Claire... Umm... Where do I start," Ms. Bee stammered.

Mr. Snooks took over the situation and started to tell. "Ok. So it all started the day Tornado was selected to become a mentor. He learned, he was good. Then he became evil, as you must know now. Taton got worried of what would happen to them. So, he went to oracle. The oracle told a prophecy. Here's how it went-

One shall be born,
The other shall mourn,
The shadows shall help,
And then he will yelp,
Pain shall he suffer,
By the wrath of the tougher.

"We were confused. Though now we get it. Tornado will mourn when you were born, because you we're destined to defeat him. The shadows... Claire. You have an extra power. You were born with this extra special power so you could defeat Tornado. You were born, with the power of the shadows. Claire, you can control shadows. When you combined your air powers and shadow, you got the thunderstorm. You're the only special ever to have this power. You, Claire, have defeated Tornado. We bow to you- Claire, The Shadow Special," Mr. Snooks finished.

"It's you, Claire. You're the one," Ms. Bee said.

My mouth flew open.

I felt so... Special. I started to laugh. My laugh spread throughout the area like a light going against thousands of mirrors. The special special. That's hilarious!

I never knew this. I wish I had known it, but I didn't. I can control shadows? I didn't know how to react. On one hand, it was cool that I could control shadows. On the other hand, my power means I'm a shadow person, and that means I'm not that cheerful, and that means people will ignore me, and that means... I don't know.

I guess I'll just have to prove that shadows are misunderstood, and their personality isn't dark. Sebastien looked at me, and I got tense. What'll his reaction be?

"WOAH!!! That's so cool! I wish I had that! You're so unique Claire!" Sebastien shouted. I looked at him. Well, that's not what I was expecting. Though I'm happy.

Wait... What about Nick? I asked them about what happened to Nick. They told me to use my shadow power, and look at the shadows. I saw many random shadows, but one seemed familiar. Oh my... That shadow. It's Nick! Nick smiled at me.

"When you use your shadow powers over someone who has died, they become a shadow on Earth. That's shadow shall forever be with you," Ms. Bee explained. Wait... So I can talk to Nick but he's not alive? That sounds odd, but I'm happy that at least I still have him by my side. I looked at the shadows.

They were all smiling at me, and Nick was at the front. I smiled back. "Claire- The Shadow Special," Nick said. "Yup. That's who I am," I looked back at him and replied. The shadows danced around me, and I laughed. "Well, we should go to the other island. Taton built it just for you guys by using his powers. Also, he took Lulu there too. She's been removed from the spell Tornado put on her," Mr. Snooks said. I nodded, and so, we went to the island.

Th next years were fun. Sebastien, Lulu, and I all went on mini missions over the world. Nick helped me, and advised me when I was using my shadow powers. Why I remember this one mission... Well, where do I start.

It was a usual morning for me, I was drinking some milk with Sebastien and Lulu. Suddenly, a call for help came from our big screen computer. I lifted the call, and they told me the situation. We had decided that I would go on the dangerous missions, and this was one. So I had to go there, and Lulu and Sebastien would go on other not so hazardous missions.

I was after all, the High Special (so I have all elements where the others don't) and the Shadow Special. I teleported to the location and saw that a bomb was about to explode somewhere in a square. First, I had to evacuate all the people.

I teleported around, taking all the little children first. Then I got the adults and teleported. They were all kept in a building near the square, but far enough so the bomb wouldn't explode and hurt them.

Then, I went to the bomb. I had 1 minute go deactivate it. I don't remember clearly in my training, but I think you have to take out the red and blue wires to deactivate it. (Author speaking now: This is not a true thing for bombs, ok? Just made it up. If it actually is, then what a coincidence!) I pulled the red and blue, and the bomb shook.

The time went down to 5 seconds. "WHAT?!" I screamed. My hands started to shiver. Sweat beaded down my face. What was I going to do now? Then, I remembered something I had seen in movies. Water was the solution. I made water appear in the square, making it temporarily into a lake.

The bomb exploded, and I got pushed back a bit. Nothing got damaged though since it was underwater. I made the water go away. All the people came out and thanked me, especially this lady who had a three year old child. "It's my job, ma'am," I winked. I teleported back to the island. I love these mini missions.

Tornado is long gone now...
