Pass (Pick/Rome)

Pick saw his whole life pass right before his eyes. If he were a second slower, he would lose Rome forever. Seeing the speeding car approach the small boy was the most horrifying thing. He pulled him out of the way in time. 

Now, he was holding the shivering boy against his chest tightly, his head buried in the soft black locks. Rome was shocked, griping Pick's shirt with all his mind, yet he wasn't the one crying. 

"I could have lost you," Pick whispered, tears streaming down his face as he rocked their bodies in a comforting manner. 

"You could have been." He didn't dare to finish the sentence. Even thinking about Rome leaving him this way made him shiver. 

"You are not allowed to leave my sight." Pick tightened his hold. 

"Ever." He added, kissing the trembling Rome's head and receiving a nod in response from him.
