9. You Can Feel the Light Start to Tremble

Austin, Texas

                Jensen looked back at JJ as she ate her cereal at the island when his phone went off.

                Jensen kept looking at the number.

                He finally answered the phone, "Genevieve, is this you?"

                "Where is Jared?"

                "Not with me..."

                "He never came home and he won't pick up his phone. Jensen I'm being serious, where the fuck is my husband?"

                Jensen glanced over at JJ as she glanced up at him, "I don't know where he is. I'm sorry Genevieve."

                JJ looked down at her cereal when Jensen heard the front door bell go off.

                Jensen walked around the wall and down the hallway toward the front door but saw no one.

                Jensen went back into the kitchen when he saw JJ looking back at him.

                Jensen walked over to her and took her out of the chair, "We should get you to your daycare so I can go to work."

                Jensen went to grab the diaper bag when his phone went off again.

                "You should really think about coming to Syracuse."

                "Hello, who is this?" Jensen asked the person on the other end.

                Jensen shook his head as the phone went dead.

                JJ stared to scream as Jensen glanced back at her.

                Jensen stood still as he saw the figure standing in the living room. "Hey, who the fuck are you?"

                The figure looked up at him then made a loud noise that dropped Jensen to his knees.

                Jensen put his hands on his ears to cover the loud noise that was coming from this figure.

                Jensen looked over at JJ as she was staring back at him.

                He went to move but the loud noise caused him to stop.

                Jensen dropped to the ground and covered his face when the glass from the windows and the doors shattered out.

                JJ looked up at the figure then back at Jensen, "Daddy..."

                Jensen tried moving but something hit him in the back of the head knocking him out.

                Across town, Genevieve sat in her kitchen looking back at Thomas, Shep, and Tristan.

                "I have to go to school." Thomas said back to her.

                "I'm trying to call that girl that your father talked to all the time."

                "You mean Tash?" Thomas said back to her.

                "Yea, I don't know her number."
