Back at the Silverwood Estate later that night, Jensen walked up the steps when Mrs. Kavanaugh came down the hallway, "Oh Jensen, you are still awake."
Jensen glanced back at her.
It had been two days since the Gala and the announcement of the engagement.
But it was also about 1 in the morning.
"I just can't sleep, you know." Jensen looked back at her.
"I do understand that Jensen, I understand that greatly." She smiled back at him.
Jensen nodded his head back at her as the silence grew between them.
"I was wondering if you wanted to join me down in the library."
Jensen looked back at her, "Sure, I can do that."
Mrs. Kavanaugh walked with him down the back steps and toward the library that was on the west part of the house. "I remember when Jordana's father's family moved into this house. That was many of moons ago."
Jensen smiled back at her as they kept walking down the hallway.
"A lot of little feet running up and down this hallway, I mean even Christian and Cassie has been in this house when they were little. It's always a good thing when you have a new generation coming into this world. I mean I think it's something that we need."
Jensen's little smile faded from his face.
Mrs. Kavanaugh looked back at him, "I mean having your daughter around here will be an adventure since she is not of our blood but she will be special with the others."
Jensen nodded his head back at her as he bit down on his lip.
Mrs. Kavanaugh glanced back at the door to the library, "I thank you for joining me tonight. It's always nice to have company around."
Jensen looked back at her, "Of course, I can't sleep anyways."
Mrs. Kavanaugh pushed the door open and Jensen saw the enormous size of the library.
"This place just keeps getting bigger and bigger around each turn." Jensen said out loud.
Mrs. Kavanaugh laughed back at him, "I thought you came from fame, so doesn't that mean large homes?"
"Yea but they only have like 5 rooms; this isn't like the houses in LA."
Mrs. Kavanaugh walked over to the wall that was lined ceiling to floor with books.
"What is this all about?" Jensen looked at the books.
"Centuries of Silverwood history. I mean all of this is Jordana's past."
Jensen touched a book then dropped his head, "This is all from her past?"
"All of it, I mean most of her current past is in a police record but that kind of thing is closed now."
Jensen looked over at her.
Mrs. Kavanaugh grabbed a book, "If you really wanna know the person that you love so much then I would just start in here."
Jensen looked back at one of the books, "What if I would rather just get it from her?"
Mrs. Kavanaugh laughed back at him, "You think a girl with her blood and her skills would just sit down with you and talk? Jordana is not human. She isn't some chick you met at the coffee shop. She won't sit down and just look at you and talk. She will try to hurt you. She is nothing good. Jordana is just another monster in this world that shouldn't be around."
