28. Don't Hurt Me.

                The next morning, I walked out of the bathroom when I was startled by Jared sitting on the edge of my bed.

                Jared glanced back at me, "You got a minute?"

                "Always Jared, what is wrong?"

                Jared looked back at the door then back at me as he pulled out his phone, "I got this call last night. I don't know what to think."

                I took the phone as I started the voicemail over.

                "You need to call me. I will call the police if you do not answer me about my children. They are mine Jared! I will take you down if I don't get them back!"

                I glanced back at him.

                "I don't want her dead but Jordana I don't know what to do."

                Cassie stopped when she saw Jared on the bed, "Sorry I didn't mean to interrupt anything."

                Jared shook his head back at her, "You are fine Cassie."

                I looked back at her, "Cassie, take Jared down to the barn."

                Cassie narrowed her eyes back at me.

                "Take Jared down to the barn."

                "You want him to know before Jensen?"

                "Jensen is my problem."

                Cassie glanced back at Jared, "You are mine for the day."

                Jared glanced down at his phone, "Don't kill her, I know she has fucked me over but you can't do this to me. You can't take her away from me."

                "You love her?" I looked over at him as Cassie looked back out the door.

                "Jordana, I can't answer that."

                "Then I won't promise you that I won't kill her." I said as I went out the door checking the clip in my Desert Eagle.

                Jared glanced back at Cassie, "What is going to happen?"

                "It's official spring cleaning Jared; you may wanna come with me and understand."

                Jared got up from the bed and went with Cassie down the back steps toward the back door that went out to the back garden.

                Jared glanced down at her, "Would it be rude to ask how old you are?"

                Cassie laughed back at him, "I'm not offended by that question Jared and I'm 25."

                "But everything you know all the knowledge and the training."

                Cassie glanced back at him as she went down the steps toward the barn, "It's hard to show people that our bloodline is old as time but that we are just sleeping beauties."

                Jared smiled down at her, "Why me?"

                Cassie walked up to the barn, "You don't know?"
