29. But the Nightmares Come Back

                Later that day back at the house, Aurelia sat in the kitchen looking at the drink that she had poured when Jensen walked into the room.

                Aurelia stood up and looked at him.

                "Hey Aurelia," Jensen went over to the fridge and grabbed something to drink.

                Aurelia just watched him when Natalie and Alaska walked into the room.

                Natalie glanced back at Jensen then back at Aurelia, "You are so sad Aurelia."

                Aurelia glared back at her, "If you knew what was going on then you wouldn't be so calm."

                Alaska glanced over at Jensen, "She doesn't mean it."

                "I have no idea what's going on." Jensen said back to them.

                Cassie walked into the room with Everleigh at her side. "Ease off Natalie."

                Everleigh glared back at Aurelia, "You are something else. Why are you so weak?"

                Cassie glanced down as Jensen looked at her confused to her wording toward her sister.

                Everleigh walked over to Aurelia pushing her back against the counter, "You are nothing to us. You are weak and you will get us killed. I don't understand why Jordana has done this but I'm guessing it was to protect you but in the end you will be nothing."

                "Hey, easy on the kid." Jensen blurted back at her.

                "Hunter, I wouldn't talk to me." Everleigh snorted back at Jensen.

                Jensen looked at her, "What did you just call me?"

                Everleigh glared down at Cassie, "Talk to him and I think he should be removed by the end of the day."

                "NO Everleigh, he won't be removed." Jax said as he walked into the room.

                "He hunts my kind and works for the Darkness Jax, why partner with him?"

                "He loves Jordana that is all I need to keep him around." Jax looked back at her.

                Everleigh crossed her arms, "I love dogs but you don't see the Lycans taking rooms upstairs."

                Jax shook his head, "God you are something else."

                "I am smart and thinking that I wouldn't like my throat cut in the middle of the night." She glared back at Jensen.

                Jensen looked back at her.

                "You think that he goes that Jordana will be happy about that?" Jax looked at her. "Jordana, runs this empire, you are nothing anymore Everleigh. Think about that."

                "I'm a Silverwood that is enough."

                "No, it's not because once the Darkness is taken down so will the court. You will no longer be anything but another human with some money. Think about that."

                Everleigh crossed her arms, "You don't know what you are saying Jax."

                Cassie glanced back at her, "He is right. Jordana has already talked to the court about it. They are going to be eliminating the court once the Darkness is dealt with."
