In the ballroom the Doctor has a backpack with a spray attachment, definitely looking ridiculous.

The room is at least two stories tall with wooden accents and a bit dark, but you can make out some pretty nice carpet. The spider is very big, leaning against a wall.

"Ooo! Very big spider." She remarks.

"What have we got?" Ryan asks.

"Peppermint and tea tree oil diluted with water. Spider repellent. I'm hoping this'll help us herd it out."

"You want us to herd out a giant spider? They're attacking people." Graham protests.

"Stop a second." Jade holds up a hand, stepping closer. "Can you see that?"

The spider attempts to move up the wall, but slides down.

"It's grown too big." The blonde frowns.

"She's suffocating. She's got too big to breathe efficiently. Even moving around in here, it's using up what little oxygen she can absorb. She won't survive for long. She's more scared of us than we are of her." Jade explains, saddened.

"I'm so sorry this has happened to you." The Doctor steps forward, crestfallen.

You take that as your cue, pulling out your knife and aiming it as close to the center of the spider as you can. That, combined with the sudden gunshot knocks it down, withering and screaming. It doesn't last long.

"No!" She shouts, running over to it. "Put the gun down." She demands, looking to Jack. You reach under the spider, wincing as you pull out your knife before she can confiscate it. "She was dying anyway."

"Mercy killing?" You offer, putting it back beneath your boot.

"I don't see any mercy in either of you."

"Thank you!" You tip into a bow, looking at the large spider. You wonder what they'll do with that.

"This is what the world needs right now. This is what's going to get me into the White House." Robertson says with final words, leaving.

"God help us all." Graham mutters.

"You did not have to do that." She scolds you. You shrug.

"An impulse. My very sincere condolences."

"Lets go." She grabs your wrist, but doesn't let you pull away this time.

"Are we just leaving the dead spider, then?" Graham asks as you walk onto the street after ensuring Jade can handle the rest. They did their job, after all. The spiders are gone.

"A farewell present." Najia grimly says.

Only back outside Yaz's flat does she let you go.

"Meet you later?" The Doctor asks, getting nods and 'sures.'

After they've left, Najia taking a double take at the TARDIS, she gives you a stone cold glare.

"Inside, now." You do, still feeling no remorse or regret. "Really, why did you have to kill it?" She asks.

You shrug.

"Spite, impulse, and you are very cute when you get all mad." You grin as she turns visibly red.

That's enough for her to turn back to the counsel, fiddling with something and ending the interrogation.

You find the kitchen, making a snack and coming back at a knock on the door. The other three are back.

"Proper goodbye this time." The Doctor looks up, seeming a little sad.

"About that." Ryan begins.

"Do we have to?" Graham asks. "You see, Doc, the thing about grief is it needs time." He pauses, "I don't want to sit around my house waiting for it to go away, cos that house is full of Grace and it makes it so much harder. But, er, being with you and seeing all these things out there, it really helps."
