"I'm sorry." The man says, lowering his gun. You walk right up to him, slapping him hard across the face. A hand on your shoulder roughly pull you back, and turning your head, you see it's Missy. She rolls her eyes, though her face is one of amusement.
The Doctor kneels down as the doors open. Humanoid figures attached to IV drips come out, bags tied over their heads.
"What are they? What are those things?" Nardole asks, coming around the counsels.
"You're too late." The Doctor says, you notice him standing directly in front of you, completely shielding you. "She's dead. Don't you touch her. Don't you lay a finger on her."
"Stand. Away. Stand. Away. She. Will. Be. Repaired." One of the bag-heads robotically says.
"Repaired?" The Doctor questions as a gurney is wheeled out by two other bag-heads.
"Stand. Away."
"You can help her? Is that what you mean?" He asks, hope in his voice. The things gently pick her up, placing her on it. "Where are you going? What are you going to do with her?"
"Re-pair." It answers.
The Doctor steps forward, but the smurf interrupts.
"Don't try and stop them. They'll snap you in half."
The Doctor hesitates. "When will you bring her back?"
"We. Will. Not." It answers, just before the doors close. The Doctor touches the doors to the center one, staying there for a moment.
"What are you doing?" You ask, still held back by Missy's hand. You notice she smells like a mixture of vanilla with something spicy.
"Leaving a message in her subconscious."
"How? She's dead." The blue man asks, seeming a little more relaxed.
"If they 'repair' her," You air quote, "She won't be." The Doctor nods in agreement.
Missy drops her hand, standing beside the Doctor. Her parasol and his 'sonic' screwdriver outstretched.
"Assumption." She starts.
"Deduction."
"Hope."
"Faith."
"Idiot."
"Always." You can practically see the grin on his face.
The blue man points his gun at the Doctor. Really, you're getting quite sick of being on this side of the barrel.
"Sir, step away from those doors. You'll bring them back." He commands.
"So what smurf? You aren't human." You exclaim. He glances at you, for a moment.
"Sir, I swear to you. Step away from that lift or I will kill you." He threatens again.
"Don't. You will only make me angry." The Doctor growls.
"Honey, listen to him." Missy disagrees.
"Why?"
"Because if somebody kills you and it's not me, we'll both be disappointed. Now, you." She jabs her umbrella at him. "What we're those things?"
"I don't know." He lowers his gun.
"How can you not know? They're on your ship." The Doctor turns around.
"This ship is supposed to be empty."
"It's a colony ship." You remind him.
"But it's brand new." He explains, "The colonists haven't arrived yet. We were on our way to pick them up. A skeleton crew, fifty of us, that's all."
