You've been sitting in a car forever, driving to some massive pyramid. The Doctor had handed you all some old tape recorders, saying something about 'recordings.' He hasn't said much else, seeming to be deep in thought. Right now, you're waiting out in some abandoned building, Nardole at the window.

"That's odd." He tuts, "there's no Monk guarding the entrance."

"Come away from the window. How many Monks were there?" The Doctor asks.

"About twelve Monks there." He points through a slit.

Twelve? Well, it seems they've been lying about their numbers as well.

"Twelve?" The Doctor questions, his face changing to one of realization.

"Well, you have to admit that's ever so clever." Nardole nods.

"Lying about their numbers, very." You sarcastically nod.

"The beam's stronger here, isn't it? I can almost hear it. It's so hard to hang on to any thought of life before the Monks." Bill holds her head, shaking it slightly.

"Yes, and it's going to get stronger the closer we get to the transmitter. The lies are going to become more convincing. You'll want to turn around. You won't know what you're doing here or why you're working against the Monks. Now, have you all got your stereo headphone iThing?"

"iPod." You sigh.

"Yeah. You never told us what we needed these for."

"Ah, this is where you come in." He holds out a paper, "read this, everyone else, set your tapes on record."

"The Monks are not our friends. They have invaded Earth and made its people slaves. They cling onto power by means of a powerful transmitter broadcasting myths and lies that suggest they have always been here..." After she finishes, you all head into the pyramid.

Looking over your shoulder, two guards fall to the ground.

"Take cover!" A third shouts. Bills voice fills your head. You duck behind a column as the guards open fire. You really wish you had a gun, but the Doctor had called you 'trigger happy,' basically his way of saying no.

The same guard dives across the ground, barely missing an energy beam. One of the other guards bullets fires into his side, and you see it's damaged his tape recorder. Well, this isn't going to end well.

"Reloading now!" Another guard shouts.

"Are you okay?" Bill asks, running up to him.

"Yeah, I think it's my..." He pulls out the recorder, face falling. "Oh. Doctor!" You run up to the front, meeting him.

"It's in here." He pulls the same metal tube out from earlier, stopping at the cock of a gun. "Everything all right, Alan?" He asks, turning around.

"You tricked us. You tried to make us believe the Monks were invaders. How could you say that?" Getting sick of all the talking, you slam your legs behind his knees, using the element of shock to grab his gun and point it at him. Before you can fire, the Doctor pulls it up, the bullet bouncing off the ceiling.

"I hate guns," is all he says, giving you a dirty look before opening it.

In the broadcasting chamber are a series of screens surrounding the top, like a dome. Various people in history are with the Monks.

"Fake News Central." The Doctor comments.

You violently yank the headphones out, Bill following in a more gentle manner.

"I can think. They're not in my head. Why is that?"

"Eye of the Storm." You remark, walking up to a bent over Monk in the center, some metal thing on his head.
