Within seconds the Doctor has the bat and Yaz has you restrained. Though it doesn't do anything about the situation.
"Teleporting now." The Delivery Bots all are gone within a few seconds. There's an unfamiliar look in the Doctors eyes. A burning anger, a deep sadness, and regret.
"I actually did it." Charlie gasps in a mixture of disbelief and relief.
"Ahem." You call.
"You did it- we did it." He exclaims.
"What you just did was cold-blooded murder." The Doctor darkly says, activating the robots head with her sonic screwdriver. It takes you all back to the reception area, where the power's gone out.
"Kerblam is experiencing a momentary technical difficulty." The System announces. "Our expert engineers are already working..."
The Doctor throws your bat across the room, watching it clang and roll. You see pale workers shaking as they go to the HomeZone, most likely friends and family members of the victims. You actually did it... and you really don't regret it.
You feel a little buzz rising, it's like adrenaline but so much better.
"What happens now?" Yaz gently asks, still not letting you go. It doesn't matter. You twist your wrists in a way, spinning your body so she has to let go. But you don't run, and she doesn't try to grab you.
"I don't know." The blonde shakes her head, "You'll have to become less reliant on the System, possibly become 100% people automated. No one will trust the System anymore." She says, but her voice is empty. "I really don't know."
"We'll have proper charges placed against Charlie and Y/n." Judy nods, Charlie restrained by Slade. "Thank you for trying." She emptily smiles.
"I still did it." Charlie gasps.
"Y/n will be coming with me, I'm responsible for her." The Doctor says, grabbing your arm.
The others don't know what to say as she drags you out. You don't protest, grinning the entire time. What you just did was so, so wrong - in general terms. But to you, it felt so right.
Once in the TARDIS the Doctor slams the door shut, shoving you away from her.
"Do you have any idea what you just did?" She yells, not even waiting for the others to leave. They share glances, seeming hesitant, but they slowly head down the corridor.
You hold your ground, folding your arms and standing tall.
"I believe I helped send thousands of robots to deliver their parcels."
"The amount of people you just killed, husbands, wives, children, do you have any idea how many will be affected by this?" She shouts.
"A lot?" You shrug, "I don't care. I really, really don't." You laugh, feeling a wave of insanity pass over. "I don't even care!"
The blonde looks like she's about to say something, but her face falls. She doesn't.
"It's my fault. I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have let you keep the bat, or get near Twirly. I need to be more careful with you." She sighs, "I really don't know how to help you." She glances at your black ring, her eyes lingering on the complex golden circles. It's like she's not even trying to hide it.
"You're right, it's all completely your fault." You dismiss, quickly leaving the console room.
In the corridor you pass Yaz, whose gripping the pendant she picked up in the warehouse. Neither of you exchange any glances, just walking faster to your destinations.
