Chapter Three

Time jump: 2 weeks later

Harper's been setting in well, she's decorated her room, got some new clothes and toys and she's gotten more comfortable around the two women, there's only been a few issues with her behaviour sometimes slipping up but Maya and Carina usually Handel it pretty well.

Mayas POV:
I wake up to the warmth of my girlfriend pressed up against me. I slowly slip out of bed not to disturb Carina and make my way over to Harper's room, I open the door and sit down next to her playing with her hair until she starts to wake up.
"Good morning my beautiful girl"
"ciao" she replied
"Wow look at you clever girl" I said giving her a kiss on the forehead. "Come and wake Carina with me" I said lifting her out of bed. "Ready 1 2 3...." We both ran and hugged Carina waking her up.
"That's the best alarm ever, morning bellas" she said kissing us both on our cheeks.
"I have to leave for work I'm afraid" i said with a sad face "be good for Carina sweetheart" I said giving Harper a hug goodbye "bye mommy" she said jumping back to bed with Carina. I looked at my girlfriend with big eyes and a massive grin from ear to ear, "bye my girls" I said walking out the door. I quickly ran into the car and text carina.

I can't believe she just called me mom. It'll be mama next ;)

Carina POV:
The day went by quite quickly I took Harper to the park and we watched a movie. I started making dinner when Maya walked through the door.
"Ciao bella" I said while making the pasta, I felt her arms wrap around my waist "that smells amazing Carina"
I heard little footsteps running down the stairs "mommy mommy!!" Harper shouted seeing Maya, Maya scooped her up in her arms, both of my girls laughing
made my heart melt, I've never been so In love. "Did you have fun today sweetheart?" Maya asked Harper "yes me and mama went to park, and watched Mulan!" She said with a huge smile. Maya looked at me with a massive grin. It wasn't just a slip up, she was calling us her moms. Why don't you and mommy go and read a book while I finish making dinner? I asked Harper. She nodded at ran upstairs to get a book.
"I can't believe she's calling us her moms" she said picking me up while giggling.
"I love you Maya" I said giving her a kiss.
"I love you more" Maya replied "impossibile".

"Dinners ready!" I shouted from the kitchen.
"Looks amazing as usual" Maya told me.
Me and Maya had finished our food but Harper had barley touched hers.
"Come on bambina eat a little more for me" I said in a smooth tone.
"Don't want" Harper said crossing her arms.
"Bella.... Come on just a little bit more please"
"no!" She snapped.
"Ah ah we don't shout like that miss" Maya said in a firm voice.
"No I don't want it" she pushed her food away.
Maya looked at me helplessly not knowing what to do.
"go have a bath bella I've got this" I whispered to Maya.
Maya stood up and left without saying anything.
"Bambina I need you to eat a few more bites for mama okay?" "No mama." She was so stubborn when it came to things like this. "Harper I'm getting mad, you have to eat your food" "No! I hate you!" She screamed. "That's enough up to bed, now!" I said raising my voice.
She crouched and put her head in between her legs flinching at my voice. "No no don't hit- don't hit" she whispered loud enough for me to hear.
I quickly picked her up in my arms and sat her down on the sofa, I crouched down on my knees and held her face in my hands. "Shhhh it's okay mamas not mad, breathe Bambina" I said trying to calm her down. "not mad?" She asked sniffling "not mad bella, shhh" I sat down next to her, "come her bella" i signalled for her to sit on my lap. "Mama or mommy will never hit. We might get mad but we would never ever hurt you bella okay?" She nodded in my chest.
"I don't hate you mama" she said looking at me, "I know bambina it's okay" she walked back over to the kitchen and ate some more bites. "All done Mama" she said with a big smile, "I'm so proud of you Harper, well done bambina".

Maya came downstairs, "any luck?" she asked me, "si, after a full meltdown but we got there. I'll tell you the details when the Bambina isn't around." I replied.

Harper had gone to bed and I got into bed with Maya.
"So what happened earlier?" She asked
"She kept refusing to eat anymore, she said she hated me and I raised my voice, she got scared and covered herself saying not to hit her." I said with a tear rolling down my cheek. "I then told her that we'd never hurt her and she said she didn't hate me, she walked over to the kitchen and ate the food after all that" I said quietly chuckling.
"Oh my gosh, it's a tricky situation we're gonna have to think of different ways to deal with things like this, it's hard with her past the poor baby." Maya said wrapping her body around me. "Goodnight bella"
"Goodnight my love"
