Chapter Thirteen

*5 weeks later*
Carina POV:
"Harper!" I shouted upstairs, "Harper! Come on bambina we need to go!" I shouted again, after getting no reply I went upstairs to see her sitting down in her bedroom, "bambina what are you doing we need to go!" I said picking her up off the floor. "Come on then" I said grabbing her hand trying to get her to come downstairs, "Harper... come on we've talked about this." "No" she said dropping my hand and sitting on the floor crossing her arms. "I'm going downstairs to put my shoes on, if you don't come down soon we won't watch a movie tonight." I said firmly annoyed she was acting up again. 5 minutes later I was sitting on the sofa waiting for her to come downstairs, "Bambina, come on" i shouted upstairs, "no mama" she shouted back, "Harper Deluca- bishop, come downstairs now. I don't want to come up again." I said getting frustrated. She slowly came downstairs looking at the floor. "Thankyou bambina" I said glad she finally obliged.

"Bambina do you want to make one last stop?" I asked her after a full day of errands. "Where?" She asked me. "Station bella" I replied, "see mommy?" She said with a big smile on her face. "Yes baby" I said. A little while later we walked through the station doors where Dean was sitting by the desk, "hi Dean. How are you?" I asked him "I'm good thankyou, how's the little one?" He said smiling at Harper who shyly smiled, "she's good aren't you bambina" she nodded her head in reply, "oh mayas in her office by the way" he said, "grazie" I said walking toward the office and opening the door to Maya on her computer. "Mommy!" Harper shouted running and jumping on maya, "hi beautiful girl! Isn't this a nice surprise" Maya said with a huge smile on her face, "Ciao bambina" I said walking over and placing a kiss on her cheek. "Hi my love, I'm almost finished if you want to stick around for a little bit we can all go home together" she said "of course bellina."

Carina POV:
"Maya I do not believe in coddling children, you know this" I said angrily at Maya walking into our bedroom.
"Jesus christ she's been through so much you need to cut her some slack!" She snapped back at me.
"You can't let her get away with everything just because of her past, she needs to learn how to behave. My mama never coddled me and it's the best way to get a child to learn Maya." I said following her into the bedroom. "My dad didn't coddle me and look how many problems that's caused! She shouted back. "Maya your dad abused you there's a huge difference!" I argued
. Maya reached into the wardrobe and took out her trainers. "Uhm where do you think your going?" I asked her. "For a run" she said barging past me. "You can't just leave in the middle of an argument, that's not how this works." I told her. "Carina I'm going for a run." "We're talking about this later!" I shouted rolling my eyes and hearing a slam at the front door.
"Mama?" I heard a soft voice coming from behind me to see Harper crying. "Oh bambina come here" I said feeling bad for what she had to hear. "Where's mommy gone?" She said crying, "she's just gone for a run bambina"I said softly. "My fault?" She said beginning to breathe quicker and quicker. "Shhh no bambina, it's okay breathe beautiful" I said trying to calm her down. Come on let's have a nap beautiful girl. I lay down on the sofa and Harper climed on top of me holding me tight, "night night bambina I love you". I said kissing her head.

Mayas POV:
I ran for about an hour deciding to come home incase Carina got worried. I walked through the house and upstairs to find Carina not there, I went into Harpers room and she was also missing. I made my way downstairs opening the living room door to see Harper asleep on top of Carina who was also asleep. I walked over to the sofa and lay next down next to Carina closing my eyes.

Maya POV:
"Bambina" I heard a quiet voice say shaking my arm. "Mhm" I said stirring awake to see Carina lay next to me on her side looking into my eyes. "Where's Harper?" I asked. "Andy came to pick her up about an hour ago, I thought we should talk about this without the bambina around" I told her. "Oh ok" I said looking down and fidgeting with my hands. "What's the matter Maya?" She asked softly. "I'm sorry" I said looking up at her with tears in my eyes. "Awh bambina im sorry too." I said pressing a soft kiss on her cheek. "Carina, we have the house to ourselves..." I said with a smirk. "You know we still have to talk about this right?" I said playfully rolling my eyes. "How I have amazing sex with my beautiful girlfriend first?" I said standing up and slowly walking out the door. "Sounds good to me bambina". I said following her.
