Maya POV:
I woke up in the middle of the night and could hear crying, I looked at the my phone it was 1:20am I slipped out of bed not wanting to wake up Carina, I made my way into Harper's room and turned on a light to see her crying in bed.
"Oh sweetheart what's the matter" I asked
She didn't answer and buried her head into her pillow. "Come and tell mommy whats wrong". She slowly made her way over to me and I lifted her on my hip. "Come on we'll get you some warm milk baby" I went downstairs and put Harper on top of the kitchen counter while warming a glass of milk up for her.
"Here you go" I said handing over the milk. "Do you want to tell me why you were crying?" I asked while rubbing her cheek with my thumb, "had a bad dream" she replied reluctantly, "oh sweetie, why didn't you come get me or mama?" I asked her, "you be mad, the other people got mad" she said her bottom lip begging to wobble. "You can always come and get us we'll never be mad baby" I said softly. "You want to tell me what your bad dream was about baby girl?" She shook her head and I kissed her cheek and put her cup in the sink. "Sleepover with me and mama? I said trying to lighten the mood, she nodded her head eagerly so I swept her up making her laugh, "shhh you'll wake up mama silly girl" I said placing her on my hip, "your fault" she said innocently. As we started going back upstairs I heard Carina coming downstairs, I ran across the living room and laid us down on the sofa. "Quick pretend your sleeping" I told Harper.
"What is going on here?" She said knowing we weren't actually asleep. Carina ran over and started ticking me and Harper making us all burst out laughing. "Come on let's go to bed" I said grabbing both their hands. "Mommy said I can sleep with you two tonight mama" she told Carina happily. "Is that right?" She asked me, "it is indeed" I said kissing Carina. "Grossss" Harper said, I kissed Carina again and Harper covered her eyes dramatically making me and Carina laugh. We all climbed into bed, Harper in the middle of course. "I love you my girls" I said kissing their cheeks. "love you mommy's".
