Chapter Twenty

Maya POV:
"Morning beautiful" I said to Harper as she begun to wake up. "Hi mommy" she said rubbing her eyes. "Shall we go and wake Gracie up sweetheart?" I asked her, "yes" she said standing up from bed. "Ready....3....2...1" I said before me and Harper ran over to Gracie giving her a big hug. "Wow morning" she chuckled. "Morning sunshine" I said kissing her forehead. "Right let's go for some breakfast" I said pulling Gracie out of bed. We all headed downstairs and into the kitchen, "Harper what would you like?" Asked her "coco pops please!" She said exitedly. I poured the cereal and handed it over to Harper which she happily ate, "Gracie what would you like sweetheart?" I asked, "um I don't want anything, I'm not hungry." She said shyly. "You hardly ate anything last night, come on you need to eat something" I told her, "no maya, I'm not hungry" she protested. "Gracie...." I warned. "I said no!" She shouted getting annoyed. "Harper can you go and finish your cereal in the living room sweetheart?" I asked her which she happily did. "Sunshine what's wrong?" I asked her, "nothing I'm not hungry." She said turning her head to avoid eye contact. "Fine but we're talking about this with Carina later" I told her putting Harpers bowl in the sink. "Okay fine" she said bluntly walking out the kitchen and to her bedroom. I pulled out my phone and decided to message Carina.

Hi baby, hope works okay.
Gracie started playing up
with breakfast this morning
and we got into a little
disagreement. She's gone
to her room now but we
should talk to her when
your home.
                           Oh no,  I should be 
                           home around 5-6pm 
                           so we can talk to her
                           tonight, see you later <3

Gracie POV:
I stormed off to my room, instantly hating myself for it, tears started streaming down my face and all I could think about is how I've messed everything up and their going to send me back. I was only left with one option, I made those red lines on my wrists over and over again.

Maya POV:
"Harper I'm going upstairs are you okay here for a sec?" I asked her, "yes mommy" she replied playing with her toys, "good girl" I said kissing her forehead before walking up the stairs.
"Gracie are you oka-" I said opening her door, stopping instantly seeing what she was doing. "Oh my god Gracie!" I said in shock. I quickly rushed over to her, picking her up into my arms and going to the bathroom, cleaning up the blood. "I'm sorry Maya-" she sobbed in my arms. "It's okay it's okay breathe, we're going to get you some help it's okay." I reassured her. "Stay here I need to phone Carina" I said pulling my phone out.
"Carina I'm coming to the hospital, I walked in on her self harming and I need to get her cleaned up" I said In a panicked voice.
"Oh my god, I'll wait for you at the hospital, stay calm okay?"
"Okay we'll be there in 5" I said ending the phone call.
I walked back into the bathroom and picked Gracie up. "We're going to the hospital, it's okay" I said carrying her to the car. "Harper get in the car" I said to her.

Carina POV:
"Oh bambina" I said as she came through into the ER. "Dr Robbins is going to clean you up okay?" I asked her. She nodded her head and walked into a private room with me and Doctor Robbins while Maya was in the waiting room with Harper. "Okay I need to clean out the wounds so that they don't become infected okay? It might sting a little but only for a second sweetie." She said trying to comfort her. "Ouch" she said squeezing my hand as Dr Robbins cleaned out her wounds. "Shh it's okay bambina" I said hold her tightly. "All done" Arizona said placing bandages on her arm. "Carina, quick word please?" She asked me, We walked outside the door and she asked me "should I call sych or are you going to sort all of that out?"
"Me and maya will handle everything don't worry, thankyou for being so kind Arizona" I said walking back to Gracie. "Are we ready to go home?" I asked her, getting a nod. We walked out back into the waiting room where Maya was. "Where's Harper?" I asked her concerned. "She's having a sleepover at Meredith's tonight I thought it would be best if it was just us 3 for tonight." She said seriously. "Okay come on let's go home." I said holding both their hands.

(Still Carina POV)
"Okay bambina let's go put your pjamas on for tonight" i said walking up the stairs followed by Gracie. We got into her room and she burst out into tears "Carina I'm sorry I'm sorry, I didn't mean to- now Maya hates me, and and your going to send me back and I can't—can't" Gracie blurted out in a panic. "Shh Gracie, Maya does not hate you and we're not going to send you back. Calm down bambina, take deep breathes" I said trying to calm her down. "I-i can't breathe" she said gasping. "Maya!" I shouted not knowing what to do, a few seconds later she came through the door.

Maya POV:
I walked into Gracie's bedroom and she was gasping for air having the worst panic attack I think she's ever had. "Sweetheart you need to calm down, copy my breathing I said taking in deep breathes through my nose and out my mouth which she eventually copied. "Maya I'm sorry please don't hate me." She said with tears flooding down her face. "It's okay sweetheart it's okay" I reassured her. "Come on let's go downstairs" I said holding both their hands.

Carina POV:
"Go sit on the sofa bella" i said to Gracie while me and Maya walked into the kitchen. "Carina this is too much" Maya admitted, "I know it's a lot but we can do it, we just need to get her the right help." I said resting my head on her shoulder. "Should we get her a therapist?" She asked me, "I think that's the best solution" Carina said pouring a cup of coffe for us. We walked into the living room sitting either side of Gracie. "I'm sorry, i can go to another home if I wasn't what you expected." She blurted out playing with her hands. "Bambina it's okay, we're going to get you a therapist so you can deal with your feelings in a healthy way okay? Remember me and Maya are always here for you". "So I can stay with you?" She asked looking at me and Maya. "Of course sweetheart, your stuck with us now" Maya joked. "Come here" I said opening my arms for her to fall into.
"Sleepover in our bed?" Maya asked her. "Okay mom- maya" she quickly corrected herself, making maya blush. "Takeout tonight?" I asked them, "sounds perfect" Maya said and Gracie nodded.
