Chapter Forty Five

Maya POV:
"19! We are on search and rescue, miller Gibson sweep the 1st and second floor. Hughes and Montgomery your on 3rd and forth and Herrera your with me on 5th and 6th"  I told the team when we arrived at the fire. "Wait your coming in cap?" Andy asked, "yes it's all hands on deck we will be receiving orders from Dickson" i fake smiled. "Great" travis rolled his eyes. "Okay let's move!"
........
"Fire department! Anyone there?!" We shouted out looking for people. "over here help" A quiet voice called out. I quickly made my way over to see a woman trapped under a wardrobe. "I'm captain bishop I'm going to get you out" I told her. "How long have you been trapped, "um about 15 minutes" she told me. "Herrera! Help me lift this!" I shouted. "321.... AARGHH" we shouted trying to lift the wardrobe off. "Captain it's too heavy" Andy told me, "try again, 321..."

Carina POV:
I was sitting on the sofa with Gracie and Harper when I got a phone call.

"Hello?" I asked
"Hi Carina its doctor Bailey. We have Maya but don't panic she is okay. Just get down as soon as you can"
"Grazie okay I'll be down now" I said before hanging up the phone.
........
(Hour before)
"Okay liftttt" i grunted as we pulled the wardrobe off. "Okay let's get her out" Andy said as we lifted her up. We started taking her out of the building when a piece of roof fell onto me. "Shit, Herrera take her out I'll be behind you!" I ordered. I slowly made it out the building my hand and stomach in excruciating pain.

Carina POV:
"I'm looking for Maya Bishop" I said to a nurse when we got to the hospital. "Just in there" she said pointing to a room. "Grazie" i thanked before taking the girls to the room where Link was examining her. "Awh bella what happened?" I asked her, "I'm high" she said bursting out in a fit of laughter. "She's had lots of pain meds so she's a bit out of it" link chuckled. "She's broken her wrist in 2 places so I've put a cast on which needs to stay on for 6 weeks. She's also cracked a rib so no forms of physical activity for about two weeks, that includes yanno" he said wary of the fact Harper and Gracie were in the room. "Well she's the top anyways" Maya blurted out, "really wanted to hear that thanks mom" Gracie replied sarcastically. "Uhm it's still off the cards unfortunately" link mumbled, "what about self pleasu-" maya started before getting interrupted, "Maybe we shouldn't have this conversation with the bambinas around huh?" I glared at maya. "Can I take her home?" I asked link, "yes but any problems feel free to call me" he said handing me a card with a number on it. "Okay let's go!"

We arrived home and Maya was resting on the sofa. "Hi bambina" I said as Harper walked into the kitchen, "mama what's self pleasure?" She asked making me spit out my water. "Um don't worry about it bambina" I said trying to hold back my laughter. "Okay" she shrugged not seeming bothered. "Is mommy okay?" She asked me, "yes she is okay" I said looking at maya who was asleep on the sofa. "Oh guess what bambina?" I asked Harper excitedly. "What mama?" she questioned. "I found you a dance studio" I told her, "really?!" She asked me, "si, they have all types of dancing there" I said. "Can we go now?" She asked me. "Bambina it's 9pm and your bedtime" I laughed lifting her onto my hip to take her to bed. "What no mama! Not tired" she groaned trying to get away. "How about i read you a bedtime story, si?" I asked her, "the one with the dinosaurs?" She said a big smile appearing on her face, "si the one with the dinosaurs" I chuckled at how much she loved that book.

Gracie POV:
"Hi bambina" i heard Carina say from behind me while I was doing homework. "Hi" I said continuing to write. "What you doing?" She asked me, "oh just some English homework" I told her. "Sounds fun" she said sarcastically. "You've been doing homework all night why don't you take a break?" She asked me, "no I need to get it done I don't want to fall behind" I said seriously. "So dedicated" she whispered in my ear before kissing my cheek. "Come downstairs once your done, si?" "Si" I confirmed before she left.

Carina POV:
"Maya, I completely forgot it's Gracie's 15th birthday next week" I said in a panic. "Oh shit" she said quickly sitting up and then wincing at the pain. "Ah careful bella" i said laying her back down. "What are we going to do?" I asked her. "I don't think throwing her a big party would be the best idea I think she'd just prefer something small with her close friends and then we could do something as a family?"  I asked Maya. "Good thinking, how about we throw up some decorations and then just invite a few friends over" Maya suggested, "perfecto" I said kissing her softly. "Maya watch your hands" I warned pulling away from her lips, "ugh I'm not going to survive 2 weeks" she groaned. "But it will be so much better afterwards" I winked before kissing her again. "Jesus christ I swear everytime I walk into a room you guys are making out" Gracie said from the door frame. "Just expressing our love for eachother" Carina winked, "okay well you can do it when I'm not around si?" She rolled her eyes playfully. "We we're just talking about you sweetheart" Maya said, "whyyy?" Gracie questioned suspiciously. "Your birthday is next week" i said, "yes and?" She asked confused, "we were thinking of throwing a mini party you can invite your friends over" Maya said, "no drinking" Carina quickly added. "Boring" she rolled her eyes, "mama mia" I said face palming myself. "Yes no drinking your nowhere near old enough" Maya backed up my point, "okay fair enough" I  shrugged. "Can Aurora come over tomorrow please?" I asked, "sure bambina" Carina replied, "as long as your door stays open" Maya added making me roll my eyes, "okay the door
will stay open".
