< "I cry for the memories I've left behind, I cry for the pain, the loss, the old, the new, I cry for the times I thought I had you." >
I laid motionlessly as I stared at my ceiling. The morning sun streamed through my thin curtains. I had nothing to do today.
Nothing but time to sit and think...

"You got another customer,"
"Give me a sec, Ava!" I called from underneath the car. "He's cute," She teased as she lightly kicked my leg and I huffed as I wheeled myself out from underneath the car.
I grabbed the rag and cleaned my hands before making my way to the front of the auto repair shop. "I'm sorry I'm on break, but Riley here, would be happy to help," Ava said and his eyes landed on me as his lips slowly parted in awe.
I released my hair from the loose hair tie that was holding it together and fluffed the side of my hair from the roots. She gave me a forced smile as I stared at her.
My eyes glanced towards the guy she was talking to and my eyes travelled up from his chest, which was in my line of sight, to his face.
"Thank you for your help, Avalon." He responded in a rough voice and my eyes widened a fraction of a size.
Woah. Hot.
She walked away with a sly grin on her face as she motioned for me to talk to him. I raised my eyebrow before turning to look at him.
"Hi, I'm-"
"Riley. Riley Maddox."
I frowned in confusion as I stared at him. "Yes...that's me." I suddenly felt very uncomfortable as he stood in front of me, in a relaxed manner. "Is there a problem with your car? Or bike? That you'd like me to fix?"
"Yes, I have a faulty engine."
"Let's see what we can do about that then..."

I stared at my reflection in my bathroom mirror as the water streamed from the tap straight into the drain. I slowly pulled out my toothbrush from the small vase and applied toothpaste before weakly shoving the brush in my mouth.
My hand moved in a slow, circular motion as my mouth slowly filled with foam and I thought back to that day.

"Umm, there's nothing wrong with your car sir," I yelled from beneath the vehicle.
"I know."
I frowned to myself, making sure I heard him correctly, before wheeling out from below the car.
"You know?" I questioned with my eyebrow raised and he stood there with an innocent smile on his face. "The engine is fine, I checked everything else, because I'm nice like that, and you're telling me that you knew nothing was wrong?" I questioned for clarification.
"Yes, Riley. I knew there was nothing wrong."
He has to be bullshitting right now.
"Listen, uhh-"
"Giovanni."
I paused for a second. My mouth opened and closed and I mentally slapped myself for reacting that way.
"Giovanni Russo."
Hot guy. Hot name.
He held out his hand and I hesitated before shaking it. I felt a sensation snake up my arm as my small hand fit comfortably in his large one.
"I-I'm Riley," I said shyly and paused and squeezed my eyes shut.
He already knows that, Riley.
He smiled as I reopened my eyes and didn't move to let go of my hand.
"It's nice to meet you, Riley Maddox."
