< "Risk something or forever sit with your dreams." >

I jolted up from bed as I heard my front door slam. "What the hell," I mumbled to myself as I tumbled off the side of the bed and landed on the floor on my back.

"Ow!" I grumbled as I moved my hair out of my face and got up. I freshened up and put on one of Gio's tracksuits that he let me keep. I left my hair down and adjusted the hood of the hoodie as I walked into the sitting room.

I froze mid-adjusting as Gio sat nervously on my couch, Avalon on the other side of the room. Steam was practically shooting out the sides of her ears.

"You was asleep." Avalon said sternly as her eyes glared holes into him. "I didn't want to wake you. Now that you're awake, I can kill him right?" She asked me but didn't move to look at me.

"Why are you here?" I asked him and before he could respond I turned to look at her. "Why did you let him in?"

She faltered as she turned to look at me. "Well I don't know. Usually you like to hear the other person out, I just got used to letting people I hate inside your house." She grumbled and I sighed heavily before looking to him.

His eyes were already on me and they travelled from his joggers that I was wearing, to my face.

"We're gonna pretend like she's not here, but she's not leaving. Talk." I ordered as I approached him.

He stood up and I pointed back to the couch and he immediately sat back down. I sat on the single chair in the far corner and crossed my arms as I waited for him to speak.

"Where should I begin?"

I raised my eyebrow at his question and Avalon took the words right out of my mouth, "You don't where to start? How about how you got another girl pregnant?"

"The girl, Amelia-"

"We don't care what she's called." Ava butted in as she joined me and sat on the armrest of the chair.

I'm glad she's speaking because I'm still slightly startled by the idea of him even sitting in my house.

"Amelia is an old friend, she's-" He stopped himself as ran his hands through his hair in and aggravated manner.

"Oh come on pizza boy, spit it out." Avalon urged and he lifted his head and looked me in my eyes for the first time since I walked in.

"This is a conversation we need to have alone. Can she leave?"

"Like hell I'll leave," Ava threatened as she stood up. "You stuck your dick in another girl and now she's got her own little pizza in her damn oven and Ri is too damn starstruck to speak so I will!"

"Ava-" I said hoarsely and even over her own voice, she heard me and immediately stopped. "Sit." I motioned to the chair as I stood up and she nodded and complied.

"Since you're clearly incapable of telling me how you got her pregnant, I'm not gonna force it out of you. What I don't understand is how you ended up in a position where you questioned our relationship and chose to ruin it." I said in a calm voice but I was breaking inside.

"Ri, I-"

"No, no, shut up. You don't get to defend yourself because you sat there like an idiot and had nothing to say! A-And now you wanna talk?! Hell no. You're gonna listen to me." I yelled as I pointed to him and he stood up.

"I'm not gonna sit there and let you shout at me like I'm some little boy." He said as moved away from the couch. "Fine you wanna stand?! Great! You're gonna let me talk-" I replied as I pointed to him.

"So talk!" He shouted back and the anger inside me grew. From the corner of my eye, I could see Avalon get up and I warned her with my hand and she sat down again.

"What's wrong with me that you can't accidentally get me pregnant?! What the hell does that girl have that you went and destroyed our relationship?!"

"Do you love her?! Is that it? Do you not wanna be with me?!"

"Of course I do!"

"Then what is the issue Giovanni?! Tell me why she is pregnant? Why she thinks she can walk into your house and parade her ultrasounds around?! You didn't even try to hide that she existed!"

I finally reached my breaking point and the tears began.

"You don't get to treat me like I'm your future and then trap me in some twisted, fucked-up love triangle with some random bitch and her baby!"

"Don't talk about her that way-"

"Oh so now we're defending her?! Is she gonna be a constant cause I swear to God Gio, it's me or her." I threatened and he scoffed and shook his head.

"Y-You can't make me choose! You're the one I'm in a relationship with!" He defended and I shook my head and ran my hands through my hair.

"I can't. I'm done." I mumbled as I turned to look at Avalon.

She was glaring at him as I moved away and he grabbed my arm to stop me. "No. You don't get to walk away. Me confessing to you is me trying to fix my mistake."

I scoffed as I looked up at him. "You didn't confess. I caught you, you idiot!" I yelled as I yanked my arm free.

"Like I said, it's me of her. If you're gonna consider choosing her, I'll make the decision easier for you. We're done." I said as I walked away from him and anger took over him as he shook his head.

"No. We're not done. I'll come back when she's gone." He said as he gestured to Avalon and left before I could counter his point.

He slammed the door behind him and I took a second to breathe before I broke down again. I repetitively ran my hands through my hair as the weight of him racked through me.

I silently cried as I slowly shuffled to my front door. I locked it behind me and Avalon stood up from the chair.

"Ri-"

I shook my head as I walked to my room and locked the door. I slid down the door to floor and curled in a ball as I continued crying.
