"Do you wanna talk about it?"

I shook my head as I finished holding up my hair before I approached him and he allowed me to sit on his lap. I curled in a ball as his hand ran up and down my thigh in a soothing manner.

I don't know why Nolan was following me.

Ava always said he was a weirdo and how he rubbed her the wrong way, but I just assumed it was because she was drunk as hell when she first met him.

Avalon doesn't think or see straight when she's drunk.

I shuddered as my mind travelled back to earlier tonight and Gio responded immediately by trying to keep me calm and relaxed.

The look in his eyes as he held me in that dark hallway, it was almost like he's done this before. Everything about him screamed that he's done this before.

Does he follow me all the time? How have I never noticed it? Is he a stalker? Did I befriend a stalker?

"You should probably text Ava and let her know you're staying here tonight," He mumbled and I lifted my head from the crook of his neck. "She knows already, don't worry,"

He immediately smirked as he looked down at me, and I smiled in response. "Is that so?" He whispered as his lips travelled to my neck and I tilted my head back slightly.

His touch was euphoric and I felt every inch of my body on fire as I longed to be impossibly closer to him. His lips finally met mine and the kiss was slow and soft, and I savoured every moment like it was my last.

My arms hooked around his neck and his hands gripped my thighs before he pulled away and his eyes gazed into mine.

"Gio?"

"Yeah baby?"

"You're doing that thing where you stare at me really hard," I said quietly as my hands slowly ran through the sides of his hair and his eyes fluttered closed as he leaned into my touch.

His eyes reopened and a sense of darkness and lust clouded them.

"Do you know how hard it is to resist you?"

My mouth parted slowly in a slight daze and I could feel...him.

He noticed that I caught onto what was happening below and slowly pulled me in by the neck as I rested the side of my face onto his. "That's how hard it is," He whispered and I don't think I ever wanted him so bad.

Without thought, I closed my eyes and could feel my legs buckle together as the thought of him painted my mind. "Don't dream about me baby, I'm right here," He mumbled and I groaned aloud.

"Gio, I'm dying here," I whined and he softly kissed my neck multiple times.

"I was umm thinking we make brownies," He said and I paused and smiled.

"You wasn't talking about sex?" I asked cluelessly and he laughed as he shook his head. "You was getting hard for brownies?" I teased as I smiled and he shook his head as he grinned.

"No, I'm hard for you."

I leaned downwards and flipped my hair to the side as I pulled my hips towards him and his palms gripped my thighs.

"Ri, stop it." He grunted in a pained voice and I hummed in response.

"I swear I'll take you right now."

I stopped and looked down at me and his eyes slowly opened and he wasn't joking. "You've had a long day, we don't gotta do it if you don't feel like it," He said before lifting me up in one swift motion and throwing me over his shoulder.

"Seriously?!" I groaned as he walked to the kitchen.

"We don't even have to bake, you can just fuck me right now..." I rambled and he laughed as he placed me on the kitchen island.

I sighed as I lowered myself again. I held onto the weight in my hands and I focused on my reflection in the mirror.

I sucked it up and finally went back to the gym today. I got in a lot later so it was almost empty, just the way I like it.

After my conversation with Gen about Nolan, I had a lot of time to think. I pushed myself back on my self-care journey and pushed the thoughts of Gio and Nolan to the back of my mind.

Neither of them have given me any surprise visits and I'm hoping they've forgotten about me and moved on, but I doubt that.

Apparently I'm a pretty hard person to forget.

I finished off with the weights and pulled my headphones off my ears as I walked in the changing room and got ready to leave.

The cool night air whipped my hair past my face as I balanced my gym bag on my shoulder and casually walked down the busy streets. The place was lit up with lights and neon signs so the dark didn't feel so suffocating.

I stopped at a street corner and my eyes landed on the pizza place. They were closing for the night and I didn't realise I stopped walking.

I watched Gio lock the shop doors and a girl stood next to him. She looked so familiar, but I couldn't pinpoint who she was. I stared obsessively as they interacted and eventually he turned around and my heart paused for a while as our eyes locked.

His eyes scanned every inch of me and I didn't move to walk away. I pretty much forgot there was someone with him. My phone rang and I looked down at the caller id.

I pressed accept and brought the phone to my ear as I looked back at him one last time, and he was still watching me. I ran my hands through my hair as I tried to walk casually but ended up speed walking all the way home.
