"Hey, Riley, how are you?" My gynaecologist asked and I put on my best smile and nodded. "Okay I know the nurse asked you to do a few tests for me and I just got the results." She said as she closed the door behind her.

"How are you feeling? Is your body okay?"

"Y-Yeah"

"You're lying."

I frowned slightly and she sat at my bedside before showing me the ultrasound. "Your baby is healthy. For now. But I know you're not looking after yourself." She said sadly and I rested my head back against the pillow.

"Your iron levels are so low and I can tell by the worry lines on your face that you're stressed. There's also the fact that you've dodged every attempt to talk about the father."

I squeezed my eyes shut at the mere thought of Gio.

"You need to tell him. And you need to start taking care of yourself, otherwise you'll kill this baby before you even get the chance to find out the gender." She advised.

"Okay," I whispered.

"Tell him, soon." She urged and I took a deep breath as I opened my eyes and nodded.

"Okay," I mumbled as she smiled at me and wiped off the gooey stuff on my stomach. I grabbed my things and prepared to leave the room.

"Eat something Riley!" She yelled behind me and I laughed to myself as I shut her office door.
